I do think it sucks that I rely on the iPhone as an alarm and even two years ago I had a habit of warning people to watch the alarm on time-change days. I haven't the faintest clue when Apple will earn my trust back on that.

Buying SNES cartridges today is simple and straight-forward, partially addressing some legal issues with emulation. MAME... arcade boards/ROMs are much less practical. My less-than-educated-guess is they're staying on the safe side of the issue.
