For the same reason people hate on Walmart, EA, Bioware, Activision, etc... It's fun to hate on the big guys and root for the little guy. That is until the little guy becomes the big guy and you have to learn to hate them too.

You realize that when they will have surprises at E3, right? Either at their conference or with one of the console makers. It works this way every year.
I've never been super active on Kotaku, but I've slowed down a lot because of the comments. It's not just Kotaku though, this is just the only place other then CAG where I post about video games. I don't feel the need to put together a well constructed message because it'll either be ignored or if it flies against the…
I've loved the Metroidvania games and Order of Ecclesia was one of the best. I'm more then happy for those style of games to go out on a high note and take a rest for a while. If Lords of Shadow had been a disappointment I probably would've felt different. Instead LoS was an incredible reboot that mixed old and new…
I get so annoyed when people don't bring their ID with them. My ex and my friend do it all the time. I'll want to go sit in the bar and we'll get rejected because they didn't think they'd need it. As if carrying around a small, almost weightless piece of plastic is going to make any difference in their pocket.
Only because I read the article. Did you?
Does Steadman still teach there?
I just started playing this a week ago and just ran into Tumbleweed last night and read a bit about it. A lot of the supposed scary stuff sounded cool, but I didn't want start getting involved in that. There is a whole world out there for me to explore.
I got the aqua blue one on launch and just bought my daughter a red one for Valentine's Day. I love the red and was tempted to give her my aqua blue one, but decided not to. The red is the best color yet.
I typically only pre-order when I'm getting a gift card in return or if I'm doing a trade-in so I can get a trade-in bump. Best Buy has been giving a 50% bump if you pre-order certain games and another 10% if you're a Gamer Club member. Last year I got loads of credit by doing that.
Thanks for posting a mirror so that people outside the US can watch it.
All you needed was a single screenshot to give you enough ammo to dislike the game? Seriously?
Just give in. I didn't really want the Batman figure since I have the statues from DCU Online and Arkham City, but after I got the Joker and saw how detailed it was I gave in and got the Batman one.
I have the Naked Snake and Cyborg Ninja figures and they're awesome. I have the Solid Snake one on pre-order with BigBadToyStore and can't wait to add it.
Don't get excited. The NBA will probably steal this one too.
Really? I thought the lack of innovation was because companies find a formula that works and exploit it until the well is dry.
If Kotaku ran the review today, but the ad next week would that be any better? I don't think so. So should Kotaku skip doing a review that'll generate page views or pass on an ad geared towards their demographic? If they skip on the review then they're not doing their fanbase any favors and risk losing them to other…
I'd agree if this was the only glowing review of the game, but IGN, Joystiq and others have also given it high marks.
More then 10 years? While technically correct, it's actually been 20 years. The first MK hit arcades in 1992. I feel old.
I was starting to make a joke, but I realized it sounded like I was plugging it intentionally and figured I'd go all the way.
