@DahlELama: Really? I hated the first season of The Office because it was a line-by-line re-enactment of the British show, which I'd already seen, and which was funnier. In my mind, the American version didn't take off until they started writing original stuff and focusing on other characters.

@Dave J.: Ok, that's just not fair. I've already written my dissertation on why Outsourced should be watched in response to another comment above, but suffice to say: I had the same preconceived notions about it, but it's now one of my new favorite shows.

@DahlELama: Yes yes, the pilot was hokey. But I've rarely come across a pilot I found funny. I actually have really high hopes for Outsourced. Last week's episode especially I found to be really entertaining (Rizwan Manji's character isn't nearly as annoying/stereotypical, and is actually starting to look like he may

By the powers of gray skull....

That meal is hardier than a Chilean miner - hey-oh!

...just one of many reasons not to save my resume as 'HARDCORE_KIDDIE_GOAT_PORN_XXX.doc'

So basically the UK will look exactly like every country it's ever colonized? Don't we call that poetic justice?

@InSinSeer: I really don't think people who still live in in NE understand how hard it is for us ex-pats. Nebraska is like the redneck dad you have to constantly defend, if only because he's your dad, despite the fact that he keeps taping babies to the wall. STOP taping babies to the wall!

@Cheesencrackers: If you honestly believe the argument "Hey, guys do this, so so can we!" then I immediately want to know why you're hanging around such dickish douchebag guys.

...and none of these men will ever trust a woman again.

Does this mean I should leave work like, right now? Cos I'll do it. Just say the word.

@taoprophet420: They don't want to be glued to the tv;s during primetime where the media companies have traditionally made their money from ads.

@taoprophet420: But you'll pay $100 plus $1 a rental on the Apple TV? You know the Netflix streaming is like $10 a month and unlimited, right? Also, the new Xbox is going to have a Hulu app. Bigger libraries and unlimited streaming. None of this pay-per-view crap.

@taoprophet420: I think the model Apple is trying to get going is flawed. Netflix and Hulu are where it's at. Just because Apple starts doing something doesn't mean it's the "new thing" everyone needs to agree to.

@SKiTz: They are getting in the boat. Who do you think developed Hulu?

@vinod1978: People need to stop saying this. The people who pirate TV shows (including me) aren't going to pay for something they can easily get for free, period. And they certainly aren't going to pay for a separate box on which they have to watch the things they have to pay for, that they can easily get for free.

@pmindemann: Hardly. They just signed an expanded deal with Netflix and they practically own Hulu. Losing the fraction of the market that's going to buy an Apple TV (and only pay per-show as opposed to having a monthly subscription) is hardly what I would call a loss when you think of the ad and subscription based

@FlameCell: No kiddin'. If I saw someone set one of those Goombas down at Starbucks, I would immediately smash it. I'm too small to survive a hit from one of those.

@Brian: Cogito Ergo ZOOM!: It's ok. The first thing that popped into mine was "This is somehow all Steve Jobs's fault."
