The Ferrari FF.
With proper updates (Nuclear reactors, autoloading gun systems, and other modern automation) the ship wouldn't need anywhere need the crew complement they used to.
How expensive would it be to swap them over to a Nuclear Reactor out of a Nimitz class carrier?
Bring back the Might Mo, make it the Flagship, gain one million badassery points.
I never denied that the HO had some stealthy characteristics but it never made it into production much less saw combat.
Stealth by the period. It wasn't anything special, but did have a slightly smaller radar signature. Quit the rage mode because you don't know the definition of a prototype.
Prototype: "An early model designed to test a concept." Seems to me that is a prototype and it never saw combat. Plus radar back then wasn't very sophisticated. A wooden plane like the mosquito was essentially stealth.
The Ho 229 was never more than prototype.
The first operational stealth aircraft. The F-117 Nighthawk. It has led to a completely redefined design for modern fighters and bombers.
Crack Pipe
The miata will never reach E30 M3 prices. It is simple Supply and demand. . . .
Hell who needs a modern A10. Just keep the original gangster flying.
Gotta reopen the F-22 production line. It should be the back bone of our forces. The DoD should spend funds developing the F-22 in both Fighter and Close air support roles.
Where is an EL_ULY Gif when you need it?
I suspect Enzo is rolling over in his grave.
Checkers or wreckers! The 1500hp was a pure estimate because I read somewhere horsepower couldn't be accurately measured past 1000 at the time.
That same BMW I-4 was estimated to be cranking out 1500HP in qualifying. Thats straight mental.
Yeah the flyaway cost will be lower, but once all the overhead costs are included, the F-35 will likely cost more per unit unless they produce an absolute shitload of them.
True, but the bulk of the program is US driven.
