Rose Red was not good but was watchable thanks especially to the performance of Melanie Lynskey as the sensitive psychic (a stand in for Eleanor in  The Haunting of Hill House)

I don’t think the complaint of the first book was that it was about Cline’s interests, but that he didn’t synthesize something new out of those interests and fell back on pure reference of them. It was like reading “Family Guy: The Novel”

I watched the entire, endless, “The Vow.”

So Olyphant has scored the Cowboy hat trick now. He evens a Cowboy in Deadwood, modern Cowboy in Justified and now a space Cowboy.

Space Raylan Givens just makes me inordinately happy.  And I also enjoyed Mando’s furthered commitment to making people understand that Tuskan Raiders are more than just mindless barbarians.

So this is the fate of the one they call Olyphant, to roam the great television landscape from show to show to play a role simply known as: Marshal.

A moving finale. Love the naked emotionalism and heart Flanagan brings to horror.
