This episode was an A for me because they used a Janelle Monae song for the ending/credits and I’m too easily swayed by her presence in anything.
I got the impression that this was more Arabelle coming back to herself as she was before the assault, rather than a distinct change in character. Weeks have gone by and she’s been doing a lot of work on herself to get where she was, as much as we don’t get to see that work at length.
I don’t even know how it’s hindsight. J* has been called out for his shit for YEARS and India still thought it was a good idea? Just because the current climate has thankfully amplified black voices doesn’t mean the information hasn’t been out there for a pretty long time.
The man’s smile is an absolute KILLER, I melt every time.
I’d watch it regardless because it is amazing, but I’m glad the show’s gonna give some breathing room. That episode was a LOT, and Kwame’s story is something that’s always been a fear in the back of my mind as a gay guy. Every time I’ve gone to a guy’s place for the first time there’s the nagging thought in the back…
Obviously people have different bodies that respond differently, but generally for myself (a gay man) if it’s been enough time to clean up, get dressed, etc. my body is NOT ready to have sex again. I’ve tried it before (consensually, and with lube) and had to stop because the pain outweighed any pleasure. I would have…
Yeah the show honestly did an incredible job of showing that even though sober Terry wanted to go out and get laid, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t manipulated by two major creeps. It shows a very sex-positive individual in this situation but places no judgment on her for the situation she winds up in. I didn’t get the…
She hasn’t done that research in good faith. She’s convinced that trans identity erases womanhood and is actively dangerous to her. She will see what she wants to see in any readings that she does. She’s not a scientist or a doctor, she’s just a bigot.
My friend and I were obsessively researching Nielsen ratings because we have been burned so many times by shows we love being canceled. This is wonderful news for the funniest show on TV.
I believe Jemaine directed the previous episode (Collin’s episode) not this one.
Tyooson Arizoña
I honestly disagree with everything you said. Leaving it alone is the worst possible option, he would have wound up resenting both Issa and Condola when little personal things like that kept popping up. They’re becoming close friends and close friends tend to share a lot.
I’d say it partially depends on the dynamics, in this particular instance it was definitely not Issa’s best play. Condola is a grown woman more than capable of feeding herself, she was perfectly content leaving the meeting. Issa knows that there’s some weird feelings with Molly about Condola (even if she doesn’t read…
A classic. I gotta give it another listen it’s been a while.
I completely understand, I’d never expect a King story to have even a hint of the supernatural. Completely out of left field honestly.
He had his moment with Penny and then he moved on. I believe he is gone for good minus a flashback or similar cameo here and there.
Yeah completely agreed. If you don’t want to be put in a public light probably try not attacking a public figure on a public forum? These idiots just want to go viral with their hot takes, so here’s their wish.
It was a fantastic look. The two actors have fantastic chemistry, and I kind of hope they never go anywhere with it beyond what they’ve done or maybe a kiss. She knows him pretty well which I think is what really gave her pause when she looked into his room. They both looked like they really wanted to but both of them…
Not to disagree that Midge deserves something nice, but to say she’s only rebounded with Joel kind of ignores the whole engagement thing she had with Benjamin last season. I don’t think she’s in a stable enough place yet to be in another serious relationship.
