I bought a medium-sized IKEA Galant (Swedish site) with electric motor, then added some more height to the monitors with a "custom" monitor stand (idea from IKEAhackers/Lifehacker):

I decided to buy an electric adjustable standing desk after all, because I couldn't imagine having a permanent standing desk. It really is great that I can lower the desk in seconds at any time! Also I've heard that while sitting all the time is definitely not a good thing, standing for a long time is also not that…
My brothers and I really want to try this some time!
Aha, well that explains why I've been served sandwiches where the kiwi was sliced together with the skin! I thought it was odd at the time.
Oh man, I won one of these in one of the Nokia Games "back in the days". While it was not my first phone, I guess that at least it was my first smartphone! All jokes about the design asides, I did have fun installing games and apps on it.
Since the lock is mainly for keeping his 2-year-old child out, I'm sure he's not too worried about that kind of attack.
I'm still waiting for the consumer edition of Oculus Rift. And maybe the Omni (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/19446…).
Argh, untill now I still thought that XBox was the proper spelling. :(
Last I heard it takes several hours to print stuff out with a 3D printer right? I'd imagine that if they didn't make prices high enough that fewer people would order it, they never would be able to print stuff out quickly enough to keep up with orders.
Yeah, I've also got a bunch of credit cards now because they offer different kinds of rewards/payback system, and I always pay back any cash used in the same month.
Oh, yeah I did miss searching for control panel items! It's strange that it doesn't work when I seem to recall that it worked in the Win7 start menu...
Hahaha! Well I guess maybe it's not as much seeing his back as it is his awkward pose... I dunno. :P
Yeah, I do hope that it is just rumors too. Well I just read it on the internet so I guess there's no reason to believe that it's more than just some random person's ramblings. I don't even remember where I read it!
Man, I haven't even gotten around to set up my heating to be remotely controlled so I can turn on the heat before I head home in winter-time. Kudos to droidkc for taking time to make a geeky dream into reality!
I've been using Windows 8 since December, and I honestly don't even see the new interface 99% of the time. The only time I bring up "Metro"/the start menu is to use it as a launcher (writing the name of the program I want to run, then pressing enter to run it). Which is also why I never understood the need for…
While the drawing style definitely resembles Studio Ghibli, I'm not sure if this makes for a good movie poster. Because it feels kinda odd to see the back of the main character like this in a movie poster... Or maybe it's just me.
I also sometimes get annoyed when people flame 3D as being just a gimmick or pointless. True, in a lot of movies it is being used poorly, but that doesn't mean we should get rid of 3D media completely!
Usually in discussions about 3D in movies and games, there are always some people who say that they get a headache from the 3D effect. Which makes me curious, what could be the reason for this? I have a 3D monitor with nVidia 3D Vision and I'm pretty sure I have played a game for hours without getting tired from the…
I'm guessing this is related to people's ability to imagine and think in 3D space, which I heard is also the reason why some people have a harder time doing parallel parking than others. :P
I recently found this article on Wired about the game, which states that the game might not be as good as one'd hope because it just takes the two main characters of each game and put them into a new world with entirely new characters. Plus they don't even really interact with each other all that much throughout maybe…
