you should get together with the ABATE crowd that claims motorcycle helmets do more harm than good. Properly designed helmets with EPS foam layers provide crucial deceleration that vastly reduces forces on the brain. The EPS liner in a motorcycle helmet is not soft or squishy. It feels hard as a rock to the ouch, but

do you know how a well designed helmet works? A helmet has a crush layer of EPS foam which is designed to provide deceleration in the event of an impact. Just decelerating your head over a distance of 1.5 cm. vs. .01 mm makes a HUGE difference in the deceleration force imparted on the brain. Recently, Snell standards

honestly, no. Nothing's perfect. In a better world I would have a track car that I'm not afraid to bang up a littler, and a trailer :-). I will still do track days, just not as many as last year.

Mmmmmmmaybe. I spent last year doing mostly track days. However, three years ago I clipped the Armco at NJMP Lightning and found that $9,000 in damage weighing heavily on my driving. Although the track days were really fun, I was not really competing. So this year I have Autocrosses, and I'm comfortable running

Having a billion workers coming from the countryside and thrilled to have a factory job is certainly a major factor, but IANAE (I Am Not An Econmist), but those who are have said that taking a country from zero, essentially agricultural third-world status up through a 1990's level of industrialization is relatively

to those who talk about this not being an "apples to apples" comparison: EXACTLY! It would be admirable if Chrysler tried to make a car to match the M3. Heck, that's what Caddy is shooting for with the CTS-V. Bravo! Aim high! But the 300 SRT is actually aimed more sideways from the M3. It's trying to be a modern

nope Sort of. Maybe. There are one or two agents who will import it minus engine, then install the engine which allows it to fall under kit-car laws and be registered in most states. Sector111 does this in California; if you can register there, you can register *anywhere* :-)

STAND YOUR GROUND! No responsibility to back down. Deadly force is allowed in FL.

suspect the Lambo driver was not supposed to be taking the thing out on public roads in daylight and knew he as going to be chewed out by Lambo management. Or was doing the whole thing deliberately to cause a stink and get lots of comments on Jalopnik. One or the other :-)

if a Republican politician had run that video the previous poster would have been praising it and shooting his AR-15 into the air in patriotic celeration.

Re: room inside - if you have a passenger, you upper arms will occasionally rub. Legroom and headroom is fine. Have fit 6' 4" friends inside no problem. It's a very intense driving experience, though. Have done 5 hour drives to WV for track time, and it is no Lincoln Town Car. However, I used to do that on a Ducati

re: 17 year old - doing those videos was actually her idea.

no surprise on the SL. I have two friends with Vipers, and getting in is a beast when you are not allowed to touch painted surfaces :-)

:-)

if you really want I'll make & post that video. IMHO no worse getting out vs. in.

I am 50 and fat. Practice a dozen times and it becomes easy.

6' 4" friends fit in my Elise mo problem. Even with the roof on.

(For left hand drive Federal Elise) right leg in, sit on door sill, right hand on passeger seat, fold body in half to swoop your head in, slide buttocks into driver's seat (being sure not to catch a belt loop on the door latch... as happens frequently causing the loop to rip off instantly under the forces applied),

poppycock! I am a 6-foot chubby man. No problem getting into an Elise. Proof:

this was a plain vanilla article.... Until the puffalmps entered the picture. Then it became awesome!
