I do feel like this constantly. I am a lifelong introvert and loner. I think, as FlowerGirlPhysicist has said, it's more about mastering the art of LOOKING like you don't give a fuck than the art of actually not giving a fuck. Any more advice than that, I can't give you, but I can empathize.
