damn your wife must be killing the salary game.

I’m with Gaines here.

Car and Driver had a wonderful primer on how to rid yourself of toter Winkel. Your wife will thank you.

I can’t speak for all police departments, but A LOT OF THEM have specific rules and regulations that prohibit firing into a moving vehicle for a whole host of reasons, the most obvious of which are:

I don’t know why these morons keep shooting at moving cars. They endanger everyone else in the fucking street, hit passengers who have no control over the car and risk the car going out of control, thus endangering everyone in the street, when they kill the person in control of a 2-ton vehicle.

Glad you are keeping an eye out for patients. It’s a difficult task interfacing with both patients and docs, as both have very different situational expectations. I still find it hard to believe that there is only 1 surgeon in that hospital/area that she is able to visit. Might be a smallish surgical group, but still

She had to pay to see this doctor, other docs in the area may not have been on her insurance. Lots of financial reasons why this lady wouldn’t change doctors. That said, I work in hospital risk management. I’m glad she’s public about this. There’s way too much bad behavior and policy violations that go on in teaching

Besides the drug interactions...that are various serious indeed and should have been caught by the Pharmacist, hospitalist, surgeon and the computer system; why didn’t she go elsewhere? If you don’t like the doc fire that sob and go elsewhere. Money talks, you can also post about it on doc review sites.

Yup, “older” parent of 3 checking in here. everything you stated is exactly what I tend to do. Very relaxed parenting style. Mostly trust but verify, with appropriate boundaries and expectations set. Oddly enough everything I learned about parenting I learned from managing a group of millennial IT workers.

This is a terminable offense in North Carolina? When I was a kid, we used to go blasting through flooded roads all the time on the school bus. There wasn’t an alternate route. Sometimes the water came in the door up to the first step. haha

So, women who believe in self defense are wackadoodles. Are you Bill Clinton?

cut it out with all your facts and logic. That type of thing scares people even more than mean old guns.

How would you handle waking up and finding one or more people in your home?

It’s wrong to be in someone’s home for nefarious purposes. Period.

Because the issue here is law abiding citizens with guns.

Concealed Carry Insurance has been around from multiple companies for years. USCCA, Second Call Defense, CCW Safe, Texas Law Shield, US Law Shield, etc. But now that the NRA has their own, the anti-gun community is losing their crap. Again, mostly because they have a complete lack of understanding self defense.

“How much money is spent on treating victims of shootings?”

wouldn’t it be far simpler to just become a cop, therefore making yourself immune from repercussions?

I don't know about older parents being the worst. We had our kids very late (>40) and most of our friends are almost the same age. We all tended to be more relaxed about parenting and tried to enjoy our kids - maybe since we had waited so long to have them.

11. Secret Service Parent. The parent that won't let there kid more than 10 feet away from them. They will take out other children to make sure nothing happens to there kid.
