How this beauty looked pre-burn.

What’s next in terms of body work? Are you planning to have the whole car resprayed?

COTD

Anyone else find it strange that he’s not wearing a HANS device in this clip?

My 3rd E36, and each of them has put a smile on my face every time I get in it. My first 2 were M3s. This one technically started life as a 325is, but the only thing left of the original car is the shell, which has been reinforced and had a cage welded in. I’ve replaced every last piece of the suspension, brakes, and

D’oh. Why did you lift, bro?!

Yes, please!!

This is awesome. I just applied. Wish me luck!

Rolled my E36 M3 at New Jersey Motorsports Park a couple of years ago. Very similar to the Audi RS4 clip above. That sucked a lot. But I salvaged all the good bits and put them into another chassis. Learned a ton doing it, now have a much better-prepared car, and learned an important lesson on throttle steering.

I had a ‘95 Jeep Wrangler in 2007 and was just learning how to wrench on cars. The original rubber brake lines were completely cracked and disintegrating, so I decided to replace them with a set of Goodrich stainless steel lines. The old lines came off and the new ones went on without a hitch. I also successfully bled

Nice basketweaves...

Can't believe that black E30 doesn't wreck every time he comes into the frame...

May not start the car, but it does disable the wheel lock making it quite easy to steal.

This is terrible news. I'm saddened by the family's loss, and that the instructor gave his life while trying to help a fellow enthusiast become a better driver.

Imagine something like a pallet jack that goes under the battery from the front of the car as it pulls into the pit. The driver or crew hits a button to unlock the battery, pit crew connects a line to the air jacks, car lifts up, battery gets pulled out of the front of the car. Then a new battery comes into position

I'm inclined to think this car did not start as a M3. If it's any indication, the side grill on the fender in this picture is not OEM (wrong proportions). It's the sort of (tacky) thing that's sold on eBay to add side grills to non-M cars.

Driving a Toyota 4-cylinder? That you picked up in Spain?

Doesn't look to me like he mastered the handbrake turn. In fact, it looks by that video like the handbrake didn't really work. The car spun when he revved it and dumped the clutch...

Some ambitious "General Features" in there: projected secondary instrumentation, refrigerator, heated/cooled seats, self-leveling suspension, high security lock system with identity card, self darkening glass, built in power operated jacks, built in telephone and CB.

That's me and my buddy Rich doing the Eiffel Tower at 1:45 ;-)
