It is interesting to see people here promoting violence in the way that they are. They certainly would be singing a different tune if Wanda Sykes told the joke and Smith reacted in the same way.

Deal with it.  Billions of men deal with hair loss every day and get made fun of for it.  At least women can get away with wearing a wig.  His wife is insecure, and Will Smith took his rage out on Rock for being cheated on all the time by her.

I recognize that there are multiple ways to interpret his joke, but I sincerely did not detect sarcasm. It came across as good-natured to me. I’m sure Chris Rock knew he was taking a risk that Jada would be offended, but I think it’s highly unlikely that he would have made that joke if he thought her negative reaction…

You don’t hit someone for doing their job. He was hired to do a bit and when you hire Chris Rock, you’re fully aware he may say something to piss people off.
