WHEN WILL THE BLANTANT SEXUALIZATION OF MEN IN VIDEO GAMES END oh god it's a joke please don't kill me

get your yaoi fantasies outta here

Or....a billion Boyfriends? RIGHT!?

AW MAN! The original Bionicles! I think that's when I had fallen in love with LEGO and truly appreciated what LEGO did as a company. I will never forget getting Tahu while at Disney Land, even though he wasn't a Disney souvenir. :P
I also can't find my Gali's mask. Sad day.

So basically "Stop killing us in stupid ways and kill us like you kill males"?

Hmm. It unfortunately seems you didn't read my post. Or are misinterpreting it perhaps.

Agreed.. so sick of hearing "it's a blog" as a blanket excuse for poor journalism.

You really don't care that your staff is sleeping with sources and story subjects, do you?

I've been discussing this with various people online, and yes, a lot of us are concerned about the lack of transparency, as well as the incestous and insular cliques that are corrupting both game development and gaming journalism. This isn't just about Zoe Quinn (but she was the catalyst) - this is about Geoff

Oh, I don't care about Zoe Quinn. I think she's a foul little hypocrite who's in it for fame and saving her own ass, but that's largely irrelevant. Gawker isn't journalism. At it's worst, it's...whatever you want to call Jezebel, and at best...I09 because at least there is sometimes good things there.

Kotaku is an

"I also sympathize with Zoe Quinn and anyone else who has been harassed by a large contingent of nasty, misogynistic gamers as a result of this whole controversy."

Well, here's an imgur. People immediately dismiss it, but since Hernandez's twitter is currently locked - I wonder why - this is the best I can do. http://imgur.com/5EqdfE5

I don't often speak out against Kotaku. For the most part there's a decent amount of articles on this site that interest me. But there's one facet of this that your post doesn't discuss. Sexism, misogyny, and various forms of clickbait intertwined with strong political/societal stances.

You won't approve this message, but I just have to say it for my own peace of mind.

So when is Kotaku going bullshit-free? I miss the old days without all the "social commentary", just straight up gaming news.

Missed opportunity.

Or it's because Patricia spends all her time treating Kotaku like her personal Tumblr and reblogs other people's work, adding generally less than a paragraph of her own contributions. And the odd time she feels ambitious enough to write something herself, it's about something ridiculous that either nobody cares about,

Really, I'm just glad Patricia didn't handle this one. Though I always found the issue to be overblown, Yannick handled the issue fine, where as someone like Patricia would have probably, going by past reference, concentrated much more of the review on it.

For fuck's sake, now every game should get "points" taken away because there's no homosexuality in it???
