@AOClaus: No, I play with the arcade stick.
I don't know if the folks at Pixar are familiar enough with gaming to even make this statement. I've never had a problem with Blizzard's employees and sense of humor and commitment to polish, but the company is almost 100% innovation-free. They just know how to take existing concepts and make them more mass-consumable.
@yourmom2161: So you're coming onto an article that's applauding a man overcoming his WoW addiction to brag about how you're better at being obsessed than he is?
@germexish: You obviously haven't read some of the powerful testimonies of gaming addiction and recovery that have been posted on here.
Wow. Kotick really doesn't know how to stop being a greedy piece of shit who tries to use steal credit from other people and use it to justify his own underhandedness, does he?
Why is "All-Time" hyphenated?
If only I could get proper ports of the Quest for Glory franchise. I would easily pay twenty bucks each for those games on my iPhone. *sigh*
I don't know how Rock Band: Green Day did, but it sounds like Harmonix' approach was what worked for Guitar Hero in the first place and it's working just fine for Rock Band. Instead of saturating the market with multiple unnecessary and/or low-quality spin-offs and sequels, they bring out a new product when they have…
@Goldwings: Wants pudding: Go find Mad Maestro for the PS2. Closest you've got right now. Although seeing that redone on the Move would be neat..
@John: You do realize that Harmonix was founded by musicians and has been primarily staffed by musicians this entire time, right? And that their entire goal has been to bring things to the point that Rock Band 3 is at, right? To eventually train people on the real mechanics of real instruments, which they're basically…
Congrats! As a long-time Kotaku-ite, that makes me happy to see.
@ManuOtaku: Must be myself and my group of friends, then. I own all three as well, and my Wii's gathering dust at a friend's house because I lent it to him so he could see why he shouldn't waste his own money on one.
@AOClaus: I'm sure you've played games that control well with a D-Pad versus games that don't, right? Have you tried Espgaluda 2 on the iPhone vs. the 360 version? Much tighter controls on the phone.
@Toshi: Oh god. This hurts so bad. So bad.
@Krauza: WHOA.
Holy CRAP. This kid is ADORABLE! XD
@AOClaus: Do you say this as someone with an iPhone or as someone with an overly cynical attitude who hasn't properly explored the iPhone gaming scene?
@Thief: Space Invaders: Infinity Gene was surprisingly good. rRootage is also a good way to get a quick bullet hell fix (and is free, so...).
@BouillionCube: I wasn't aware that R-Type required anything more than one stick and one button.
