Girlfriends fault.

What?! I think I'd do the best out of everyone. I have a remote cabin filled with guns. WITH GUNS, DAMMIT. AND I KNOW HOW TO USE THEM.

My guess is that Mike Fahey will go nuts and eat the rest. And then write a snacktaku review.

now we just need a new Outlaw Star series.

Giving gang members something constructive to do is always worth bragging about. That is the most serious comment Ive ever made on Kotaku.

Giving criminal gang members jobs who could then go onto use it as a reference and start a totally different life?

And just to tie it all together.

Isn’t $900K a little expensive for the game you are promising?
Funny you should ask—you mind talking to any folks you see asking the question above? :) Seriously, despite the fact that it’s a 2D game with its roots in the classic games of yesteryear, Mighty No. 9 is a full-scale production, being undertaken by

Dear Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama, hope you're paying attention!

capcom might as well sell the mega man rights to inafune or nintendo.

I think that's kind of the point dude. Capcom is just doing nothing with the license..so man is feeling a need. I love the fake Roll and Rush as well...just a huge fuck you to Capcom.

It's better than MM rotting in the mobile/app store as a fremium whore.

and i totally agree with everything you just said, EVERY.SINGLE.WORD! again, I wasn't complaining. I backed the project! I'm just saying... it's Megaman.

The whole reason a proper Mega Man couldn't get made anymore is because Inafune was beholden to a really shitty publisher. Using kickstarter allows him to not be beholden to a really shitty publisher. Seems like a win-win to me, I can't imagine what the issue with it is.

You know Kickstarter has different tiers of rewards right? If you donate $20, you get the digital version of the game. If you donate $60 you get a physical copy with special game manual and in-game character. You're basically pre-ordering the game with donating.

There is a console stretch goal, actually.

The linked kickstarter mentions some of the new gameplay mechanics, seems to be a little bit of Kirby added in with the transforms and absorbing enemy attributes, not just boss weapons. The section actually starts off with "So what makes Mighty No. 9—the character as well as the game—different?"

It doesn't seem to be, aside from the designs which are hardly indicative of a remake. To me, it seems much more like a callback, and a way for fans to identify this to Megaman more easily as they play.

I agree, it wouldn't be very good if it ended up being just an HD remake. That said, do you really think Inafune

...That's the point?
