I think the point is, why is it more probable to them that there is an omnipotent god that has existed forever, who created all matter, versus a universe that originated from 'nothing'? Both require the exact same leap in logic, that something can exist without being 'created', be it the universe or a god. And there

I kinda want a combination of this and FTL. :p

Dat choppy framerate.

I wouldn't mind as long as it comes with a significant increase in performance.

I wouldn't expect the image above to be the final design, by a long shot. It's just a mock up to show the general idea. I'm sure the would figure out a way to make the design ergonomic.

What gurfinki said. I found the Wiimote + Nunchuck pretty damn comfortable when playing some games on the Wii.

I tried it once. Went around doing the crouch-and-point gesture, trying to poke people's asses. Nobody seemed amused.

James Nguyen!

I say play them all. You can get the whole lot for cheap on Steam if you time your purchase right. It's really not a monumental task, all of them are very enjoyable(unless you absolutely hate first person shooters), and they aren't horribly long games either. You can ignore Blue Shift and Opposing Force as well, as

"because the hardware should be so clearly superior that optimization doesn't factor in"

It's fun, lighthearted, cute, and has great animation and brilliant voice acting. It's just a great animated show.

As far as I know, the download process is separate from the install. And it does say "Downloading data for update".

No it's not. Every other device I have used makes a distinction between the download part of an update, and the install part. And they don't get bricked if you interrupt the download part, even forcibly.

Lolwut? This has nothing to do with kotaku, Nintendo's twit specifies not to unplug while downloading.

Well, I'm making the distinction between downloading and installing because the twit specifies not to turn it off while downloading the update, not during install. I think it was a terrible mistake to make a system where interrupting the download can brick the console, because you'll ideally want to reduce the

Updating =/= downloading.

Um, no. System updates can take a long time to download, which is the case with the WiiU. It should be possible to interrupt them without causing it to brick. One, because there's no reason to modify essential files when the update hasn't begun being installed yet. Second, because the user might have a reason to

While downloading a patch.

I dunno. Interrupting an install, yes, but I don't see how common sense tells you that interrupting a download will brick your console.
