She is a victim of character assassination. In Lisa T Jackson's deposition, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, she said that she never heard Paula Deen say anything racist. Has that made the news? No. Everyone keeps talking about her confession that 27 years ago she used that word to describe the man who put a gun to her

That's not the deposition. It's the complaint. Those are the accusations that haven't gone to court yet.

Don't say "what you say offends me" and then leave because you refuse to talk about it. That makes you look like the jerk. Worse, it makes you look like a self-righteous jerk. Nobody has ever convinced me of anything by acting like that. You should at least explain why it's offensive to you and what it is that

They have to let girls know when they need to start dieting, or else they're not living up to TMNT standards. Ugh!

Deen's attorney: “You have never heard Paula make a racist remark, have you?”

I take issue with the name. From my understanding, Accidental Racism is not real racism, and that description is of real racism.

Well, that wasn't his only point, was it?

.

No, I got it. I just didn't think it was a valid point. You did pick apart one of his sentences, but I didn't think it sounded like a fair criticism.

From the context in the deposition, she wasn't talking about any servers, she was referring to specific servers who had served her at a restaurant, whose professionalism she praised. It's not that they had to be black, but that they were black. Those waiters at the restaurant she was talking about were black, she

OMG that last one made me ovulate! I've been wanting another child for a long time but I'm so worried about money and blah-blah-blah I WANT ANOTHER BABY!

In the plaintiff's deposition, Lisa T Jackson said she never heard Paula Deen say anything racist.

I actually read that part of the deposition about the servers. She was being asked about it by the other lawyer because that was one of the accusations made by Lisa T. Jackson. She said that she had eaten at a restaurant

No, she shouldn't have said that, but she said that in response to the question, "Have you ever used [that word]?" Since she told a story about having used it, the answer to that question was "of course." She also should have never responded to that one question about whether black people who served white people

He's not a slave. He's a friend of hers. You understood that the context in which he said that was now and not the past. His statement wasn't intended to be all encompassing of all time periods.

I don't think economic sanctions are feasible because we rely on trade with them too much.

I thought my grandmother (on the white side) also knew better. Then she got alzheimer's and she'd say it sometimes. She also sometimes thought it was the 50s or the 60s and get confused about where she was and why her face looked so old. I guess she used to say it and I would have never known if she hadn't gotten

Thank you for the polite response! It's refreshing. People haven't really been very appreciative of clarifying information on this particular subject, from what I've seen, so really, thank you.

I love you. The world needs more people like you.

Look, I know you probably don't give a shit what I think, and you have no reason to, but just for context of why I'm skeptical, let me use this so-called "quote" that has been circulating in the press as an example.
