Oh I'm quite sure he's not the only one who's done that. In my baby making days I heard plenty a story of this, and the oft repeated tales of couples who, one month after bringing their adoptive child home got pregnant. This was always told in a, "See! see! It was your fault! You just needed to relax after all!" way.

I used to have this all the time. The elevator is going to crash, that damn shoe is sure to drop. It was instructive to me that it only happened when things were going really well. Feeling good is scary, when you are not used to or comfortable with it yet. It was about self trust for me.
