Infuriatingly confused them. Please name a single Second-waver who was like, institutional discrimination is not real. That is exactly the opposite of the point of the Second Wave.

By “Second Wave,” are you just trying to say old ladies, ‘cause, you know, old ladies are close-minded and stodgy? Because I’m not sure which history books you’re reading, but Second Wave — Gloria Steinem, Dorothy Huges, Andrea Dworkin, Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Angela Davis, etc, etc — focused on class organization

Jeezus, this and all of these comments writing off celebrities who are actually trying to draw attention to a human rights issue are infuriating. It’s fucking Orwellian. Thanks for fighting the good fight, futile as it may be.

Yeah, the whole thing was confusing for the waitress, for us, and certainly for him.

This story of a dumb customer is not from the many dumb customers I waited on over the years, but from my dumb acquaintance.

No problem! I just had twins and only got six weeks off because my coworkers donated their vacation time to me. Federal employees don't get any paid maternity leave. Interestingly, if I donated an organ, I would have a full month paid leave. Anyway, I have a habit of talking about this a lot. Did you know Canada has

FOUR WEEKS. Hilarious. You have no idea what you are talking about. Have fun pretending you can care about women's rights while you advocate that the vast majority of women should be put through physical and mental hell or pushed out of the workforce altogether in the name of "equality."

It is simple in the sense that you've clearly put no thought into it. Do you consider time off for chemotherapy a "perk" of having cancer? Should we not allow more time off for treatment because it wouldn't be "equal?"

Everyone should have the option to take paid time off for extraordinary life circumstances and allowances for health or family obligations, like caring for one's children, parents, or other dependents. But having children is not like a vacation, nor does anyone do it once a year. Seriously, that is one of the dumber

Why would someone need to warn you about being happy? So you can mentally prepare for joy?

I've always had a thing for Daredevil—sassy lawyer, lanky, flexible, knows his limitations (who needs to save all of New York, or even Manhattan... he'll stick to one neighborhood, thankyouverymuch), good with his hands... Sadly, all of his girlfriends die or end up in mental institutions.

NIH is already in human trials.

In defense of the photo-conscious bride:

From 35 feet away? No. There is a narrative—one disputed by eye witnesses—that would explain the first shot. He was wrestling for the gun. Fine, let's take this cops word over all of the neighbors who watched it happen and assume that's true. Why the next 5 shots? Why fire on him when he's running away? Why shoot him

My husband worked at a wine auction house when this guy was caught, and YOU GUYS IT WAS CRAZY. If I remember correctly, the FBI broke into his home to find bottles soaking in his sink to remove their labels and wines in the fridge marked with notes that said things like "possible Romanée-Conti" or whatever he was

It's fraud. He literally forged labels and poured $20 worth of wine into $500 wine bottles. When you sell someone a product, particularly one that is world renowned and highly coveted, it should be the thing you say it is. Also, he's hardly "a poor." He made a shit ton of money off of scamming people.

My favorite theory from my nephew's creationism class: The dinosaur that survived the flood (because they were on the ark) were killed off by... the Spaniards.

I just figured they never made this movie because FOX clearly hates Deadpool. There's no other conceivable reason that they would put him in Wolverine, cast the perfect actor to play him, and then UNFORGIVABLY MAKE HIM SILENT. I still fill with rage just thinking about it.

This is absolutely another sad example of criminalizing poverty, but let me also say that, as a soon-to-be-mom, I can't help but be terrified of how it's criminalizing parenting.

See, this here is the problem. You feel like the world is less safe, and suddenly you know better than this girl's parents. She wasn't in pain; she wasn't in danger. She had a cell phone and a meet-up plan. She asked to be there, and her mother made a parenting decision that her daughter was old enough to handle it.
