I'm a woman from Sweden and I agree, street harassment is very uncommon here. But it does happen on occasion, you are most likely to get cat called on late nights on weekends when guys are drunk and I guess it is more common in the bigger cities.

Dude...you went from 'At least in Northern Europe, that kind of behaviour simply isn't tolerated by anyone' to 'It's an occasional occurrence here'.

Because I felt threatened. Sorry if I didn't use the most politically correct language while I was being threatened.

Because it was the heat of the moment. I cursed at him too. Or is that okay with you?

Because black men, regardless of race or class benefit from male privilege.

Because when this black man harassed me,

Don't imply things like "the US is the worst in the world" and then shuffle off with "oh by the way I'm just talking about Northern Europe in comparison." If you want to compare the US to *just* Northern Europe, go nuts. Just don't roll with this "it's a uniquely US" thing.

"It's a uniquely US thing"

Italy exists.

As a fat woman, I cannot get behind this term, because it always seems so porn specific. Any man who calls me a BBW makes me feel immediately fetishized, and it's not good, even if it does mean that they totes want to bone me...because I just feel like a mere body there to fulfill the things they've fantasized about.

So ready for dudes to realize that "Hey ladies, I'd fuck you!" is not actually the panacea they think it is.

I saw a video recently (I think it was on here) where a woman responded to a guy who was harassing her by saying "Oh ok, you love me? Great, I have 5 kids. I hope you're ready to support us." She basically went at him for 5 minutes until he got so uncomfortable he left, with her calling after him "Where are you going,

Men aren't entitled to a woman's time or attention. Just because you see her doesn't mean you get to interact with her. It's not rude to ignore rudeness.

Oow oow, perhaps in a situation where approaching a woman is expected, and you have a reason to approach her other than to say 'you're hot, I wanna fuck you.' Like for example if your at a party and a friend introduces you to someone because you share interests.

There's no irony, women want to be payed attention to

Here's the thing. In my experience, I NEVER, literally NEVER see men casually greet each other on the street unless they know each other. These men are throwing out seemingly harmless greetings in hopes you will turn and want to talk. Or they may just want a smile. Sorr,y but I only smile when I feel smiley, not

No, it was a woman walking behind a person with a backpack on and a hidden camera on it. You can see that she's disguising the camera in the opening shot.

today i got "smoking is not for beautiful women" and i was smoking so... are you trying to control my behavior or are you saying i'm not beautiful, or both, or what? be clear with your unsolicited criticism, please!

Admiral Catbar don't spoil our planz!!!

Team cat Headquarters here,

"Maturing is realizing how many things don't require your comment."

I don't know, she might be just trying to counter the platform that he had during the trial and as a national figure, to balance the scales a bit and take her back as Reeva instead of "dead girlfriend." I might be wrong and she might Dina Lohan this to the max, but she could also donate all of the proceeds to women's

Ugh, the woman is writing a book to profit off of her daughter's murder. Yuck. You may say "It's cathartic" or whatever, it still just seems like a way to make a buck to me.

Here's a news flash: young adults often withhold information (or just lie) when talking about their sex lives with their parents.
