Obligatory reference to the Goodness Gracious Me sketch:

I find the fact that Californians want to move extremely surprising. I have never met anyone who lived in California who was less than 100% enthusiastic about what a great place it is to live. I would have expected it to be right there with Texas, Maine and Montana.

I feel like I want to sit all of the fancy dessert chefs in the world down and remind them that, as a society, we're perfectly good with eating whipped cream from the can.

Sorry to be that person, but: it doesn't change the DNA, it changes how the DNA is methylated, which is a modification of how the DNA is structured (i.e. whether it's tightly wound or not). THAT changes gene expression. However, the underlying DNA sequence is not actually changed. :)

This great but i do think that the US should follow the way the UK does PSA's on sexual assault and abuse, they may be hard to watch but they do get the point across.

All these men have never looked sexier, for sure.

"if she doesn't consent, or can't consent, it's rape." Now if we can only get it taught to young people, before media has tainted their minds.

First reaction: Kind of sad that they mention "wives, sisters, daughters" and omitted assault on males entirely in the video. Can't you just use gender-neutral terminology for the sake of being all-inclusive?

God Biden stop making me yearn for a love that is forbidden.

I have one! One night, while working as a hostess, I was doing my job and about to sit a party. A group of men in their 30s was leaving the restaurant. I say goodbye to them and thank them for their patronage while starting to lead the other party inside. At this moment, I fell a hand under my dress grab my butt

There is a special place in hell for managers who comp the meals of total asshole customers. It only encourages them to keep their bad behavior up.

I was being a little cheeky (I'm finishing up my physics degree), but I do feel like inspiration, innovation, and creativity are the products of intellgent minds. And i'd argue that most of our folk heros were pretty intellgent people. I also think praising a child's intelligence prompts them to want to learn more,

Personally, I think it's pretty fantastic that someone who has had an opportunity to be valued as literally one of the most beautiful women in the world (because not just model: super model) is taking a step back and saying, "Yeah, this is cool - but smart is cooler."

I don't know her and have never heard her speak

I usually don't go down this road, but it seems like a case of the envies/bitterness. God forbid a young mother (with a good deal of experience in how beauty is valued) want something "beyond" for her daughter. I'd love to see how they react to Cameron Russell. Models can't have an opinion about how our society values

Angry people: We all want our kids to have more than we had, learn lessons early that we struggled with, and have the love/attention/validation/whatever that we wish we had.

Damn, there's a whole-lotta-bitchy in this thread. You all need some coffee on this Monday morning?

Well, she made the choice to be a model when she was a teenager. People do tend to look back at their teenage choices and say to themselves "I wish I'd done things differently." I think that shows maturity and integrity, and doesn't make her a hypocrite.

I agree, but if I had a face and body like that and someone was willing to pay me millions to basically, well, be me, then you can bet I'd do it without a second thought.

What Kastle said but also relevant is the fact that Queen Elizabeth II is Canada's Head of State, with our Governor-General being her official representative. Our Prime Minister certainly has clout but he is "only" our head of government, nothing more.

I don't think she is a terrible human being because she run over children and killed one. As you said, it was an accident, and the kids were being reckless. Though she was speeding and possibly texting, so she was being reckless too.
