I don't think Miley's making a broader argument about flag desecration laws. She's not trying to make some political point or anything, she's just being fucking disrespectful.

I get that crow is kind of seen as a pest in North America, and Wendy was actually pretty good about it, but some of the audience was a bit much. Guys, it's a bird. Know what else is a bird? Chicken. Turkey. Duck. Quail. That whole "it's so similar to what I always eat but unfamiliar, so GROSS" is just getting a…
These are all bad, but the ketchup on the steak made me shed a single tear.
It's possible they didn't realise how strong her reaction would be. Kids get attached to weird things. When I was little my parents got new appliances, and I CRIED when they got rid of our old refrigerator. On the floor, sobbing "but I like out refrigerator!" This went on for some time. it's just kids.
Yeah, that is really not Catholic. That priest was just an asshole.
I believe most Catholic school contracts have you sign a morality clause. I'm not saying that exempts this treatment, but it's a very well-known aspect of working in Catholic schools.
I was meh about this until I saw who was directing it. Suzanne Bier is a GODDESS!
Domestic violence and marital rape were also not illegal in the "olden days". Your point?

He might still be convicted of culpable homicide. Yes, it's not a murder charge, but it's a lower burden of proof and it looks like it might happen.
This same guy wrote a piece about the vilification of police in America. So....there's that.
Agreed! Even on transatlantic flights I've worn a skirt, tights and heeled boots. Comfy too, but it looks so much more put together than faded sweatpants with something written on the butt.
LET'S DO IT. Remotely synching travel schedules...now.
Brilliant! Terminal 5 is nice and new - I'm surprised they didn't add it.
Really? I fly through Heathrow every four or so months, and I've never seen them - I reckon they don't have them when I go through, because it's all squished against a wall, so there's not much space. I only connect in Heathrow through Terminal 5 though - maybe that's the difference?
I get you. My shoes come off at lightening speed - it's the rest of the clothes (coat, scarf, cardigan) and all my gadgets and liquids that take fooooorever to get sorted.
Depends though! I find a lot of heels and dressier shoes come off easier than runners or tight boots.
