Uh, no one has to. I'm a penny-pinching student myself. LED's are a worthwhile upgrade.

A good price is around 10$, higher than 15$ and it should start smelling like rip-off. Buy off-brand, the technology isn't very advanced. It's like HDMI cables, the cheap ones are just as good as the Monster ones.

No mention of LED lights? I can't imagine an easier upgrade that saves a pile of money.

I get a negative reaction every time something is described as "stripped down to its essentials". That's not stripped down, it's thoroughly engineered and designed. "Stripped down to its essentials" is just pretentious humblebrag. It is a very nicely designed lamp, they should emphasize that instead. I have a ceiling

Does this software or anything else allow me to snap windows to the borders of the screen that is adjacent to the second screen? Normally the window just travels with the mouse over to the other screen, but I'd love to have a region there that would snap the window if dropped.

Bumping this comment, because this is quite misleading in the article.

I also just had a quick look, and, uh... you're basically totally wrong on all points. You can send any file as a link to a friend, the Explorer integration is awesome (now I have a drive in My Computer that shows 7,99 EB of storage, cool huh?) and no file I put in the infinity drive has disappeared from it's original

Please don't get tied up on the terminology. They are researching for something that would in some way be beneficial, right? If you know the correct term, please tell me.

My meaning of cure here: magic pill that makes it, whatever it is, and it's effects go away.

You guys do realize that if they don't research this, they won't find a cure/vaccine if it does break out like this outside a lab.

If you don't mind paying around $100 for quality software, I suggest checking out WebStorm from JetBrains. It is a seriously awesome IDE, and it has a Live View function that integrates with a Chrome extension so you can see your edits as you do them, in Chrome. If you need PHP there's PhpStorm, which is basically

Any reason to experience the Max Payne 3 favelas is good, even if it's just "I don't have anything better to do". Those levels are amazing.

I wasn't arguing, I was raging ;) And, uh... I really think the first D stands for Distributed. I concede I was generalizing, but doesn't many large-scale DDoS attacks involve botnets? My "point" was specifically about those.

So we can not only petition for the first stupid thing that pops into our heads, it will also get into mainstream news AND people might even say it "makes some sense" or "isn't actually the silliest idea we've heard".

If Sam can lift it it's probably light as a feather. No, I will never forgive your Lumia 920 review, that phone is perfection.

Kinda weird to talk about a bunch of OSes and then throw in HTML 5 like it's one of them.

Yes, finally a perfectly sized-and-weighted Windows tablet! I have learned my lesson. Whenever Sam says something is too big and too heavy, it's just perfect.

"Just a heads up: we're gonna have a superconductor turned up full blast and pointed at you for the duration of this next test. I'll be honest - we're throwing science at the wall here to see what sticks. No idea what it'll do. Probably nothing. Best-case scenario, you might get some superpowers. Worst case, some

There must be some reason why they keep making these round. One would imagine a square shape to be much more appropriate for these, given that rooms usually have corners. Or are my rooms in the minority?

Now playing

No, THIS is the most useless machine ever.
