I haven’t played a second of the game myself and I’m hooked on Gwent! Been watching a good Let’s Player, Christopher Odd.

Yep. BL2 has near infinite replayability with the endless hunt for loot, the three difficulty tiers, the 6 Vault hunters to take to level 72, the story and humor I will never tire of, the continued supply of DLC, the raid bosses to master...

Make it the PB-248Q, with the added inch and 120 vertical pixels, and you're right!

Why Borderlands 2 Should Be Game of the Year

No, I'm not stupid, I know this was released LAST year and won a bunch of awards. Still, this is the game I played most of this year, and I enjoy the heck out of it. I haven't played GTA 5 or The Last of Us, or most of the other favorites. The reasons for this major misstep

Just wait until you play the Hammerlock DLC... I didn't notice it until I tried the raid boss, whatshisname. You have to run through a whole map, and when you realize that "crap, this raid boss thing is HARD!, I want to go do something else" you have to backtrack ALL THE WAY to the teleport. You can't go forward if

F12? Really? No web designers in that group, I see. Also, F6 is really useful in Flash.

If you're in the market for the full, master collection creative suite, that cost 2,600$. Assuming you're a creative professional that HAS to have the latest version, that's 2,600$ per year (they moved to a yearly release cycle with CS5.5).

On my new job I was provided a MacBook as a work computer and I have noticed a few things, having been a Windows user all my life.

The blockchain. Or more concretely, the people who are mining. They perform the calculation and ensure the integrity of the blockchain, which can be described quite aptly as a giant ledger holding all bitcoin transactions. In return for the processing power, they can discover new blocks of bitcoin. I don't know

Huh, I thought it was awesome. If you have a hack to get all context menus on your computer in that style, post it! The default ones are so dreary.

Right on.

A developer friend of mine. Don't know where he got it from, sorry. Probably years of experience and education :D

Don't turn off the forced reboot by Windows Update. Not rebooting after an update is what makes the infamous "Windows sluggishness after a few months" happen, which is why Microsoft enforces the reboot even more in Windows 8. Always reboot after an update, and chances are you'll never have to reinstall.

Huh? I'm from Finland, and have never seen a power ranger episode (?) in my life. I also do not know what it is, and I definitely don't consider Power Rangers a national treasure of Finland.

Alright, I might do that! Thanks!

A 20€ remote controlled helicopter. It has 4 channels, trim, 2 pair of wings etc. I thought it'd be easier to fly than those 10€ ones that are impossible to steer. I unboxed it, put batteries in the remote, and tried to fly it. Then I found out that the small propeller on the back DOESN'T HAVE A MOTOR CONNECTED TO IT,

I was most happy with the halogen-replacing LEDs. I actually hate normal halogen lights, they're so fiddly and burn out in the time it takes you to blink.

Oh yeah they are definitely rated in the 200 lumens range. Doesn't bother me though, I get all the light I need. I never wanted to replace the complete output of normal bulbs, and was pleasantly surprised by the light output when I first screwed one in. The light profile is different, as you mentioned.

I appreciate your insight! I haven't used LED lights long enough to see them burn out or dim, but the ~10$ bulbs I have are plenty bright, and draw something like 2W if I remember correctly.
