Eh, the Dodo DOES fly, it's just a bit difficult to get it steady. But it is able to. I once flew one for about 10 minutes before getting tired of the novelty :D

I watched the first episode and was bored to hell, so no, you're not the only one.
As far as I understand, the Windows version with ARM support is the full version, but of course apps need to be rewritten for the ARM architecture and whatnot. So no, I wouldn't be able to run the same apps right away (I think). But since Windows is pretty ubiquitous, I'm sure app developers will remake their apps for…
Well, Windows traditionally supports a wide range of hardware, and Windows 8 comes in ARM configurations. It also helps that the Prime uses Nvidia's Tegra 3 platform, which I guess will be a very popular format for Windows 8 ARM tablets. At least there should be support for it. If the bootloader is unlocked, I don't…
Hmm, I was kinda entertaining the thought of trading in my laptop for one of these, and when Windows 8 is released, install that on the Prime. Hopefully they'll unlock it.
Woop that circle doesn't seem to reach Finland. I will be very sad for the rest of Europe, though. Very.
Freemake looks great! Thanks.
Fantastic! Now I only want something similar for video files. SUPER is very powerful but the interface is just terrible and the download link notoriously hard to find. Handbrake is very good and easy but doesn't support that many formats (or have I missed something?).
Meh, it's about on par with the new nexus, I'd say. At least I don't feel any urge to upgrade. The lack of a micro SD slot and the pentile display is off-putting (although yeah, I haven't seen the display in person, it might be wooonderful. But the SII's screen is awesome too). And ICS is coming to the SII, which…
Hmm, it looks more like the frog believes the finger will steal his bugs. But yeah, the idea that it's exacting revenge is funnier, so let's stick with that!
Seconded. It's a meme! :D
Uh, I would NOT want to be a judge this year. Deciding between Portal 2 and Skyrim is going to be hard. I thought Portal 2 was a sure win until I started playing Skyrim. Ultimately Skyrim would be my pick, because it's a much bigger game (=more value).
So, the subtext is that we basically need more brain if we want to become smarter. I'm cool with that.
"Knights Ferry isn't meant to be a computer's main brain, but rather a programmable co-processor that'll do hugely heavy lifting handed to it by a CPU."
So, let's get cracking on those Battlestars, shall we? Oh, and you, I want a working prototype FTL drive on my desk by monday next week. That is all.
No one has mentioned Battlestar Galactica? Yes, FTL drives have maybe been disproven, but I'm talking about the greater story about the Cylons. Totally possible, non-disproven technology.
Promoted!
Whoa, thanks for showing us this! Really nice job. Also, that music is fantastic. It just SCREAMS Tintin, such a perfect composition!
It may have the CDMA radio inside it, but CDMA doesn't use SIM cards. As far as I know, CDMA phones need to be tied to a carrier, and thus can't be unlocked, at least not in the same sense as GSM phones.
I found it weird that they were actually surprised to find a new species there. They might have the majority (of the bigger ones, at least) covered, but surely they must know that there are many they haven't discovered yet?
