Seconded. It's a meme! :D

Uh, I would NOT want to be a judge this year. Deciding between Portal 2 and Skyrim is going to be hard. I thought Portal 2 was a sure win until I started playing Skyrim. Ultimately Skyrim would be my pick, because it's a much bigger game (=more value).

So, the subtext is that we basically need more brain if we want to become smarter. I'm cool with that.

"Knights Ferry isn't meant to be a computer's main brain, but rather a programmable co-processor that'll do hugely heavy lifting handed to it by a CPU."

So, let's get cracking on those Battlestars, shall we? Oh, and you, I want a working prototype FTL drive on my desk by monday next week. That is all.

No one has mentioned Battlestar Galactica? Yes, FTL drives have maybe been disproven, but I'm talking about the greater story about the Cylons. Totally possible, non-disproven technology.

Promoted!

Whoa, thanks for showing us this! Really nice job. Also, that music is fantastic. It just SCREAMS Tintin, such a perfect composition!

It may have the CDMA radio inside it, but CDMA doesn't use SIM cards. As far as I know, CDMA phones need to be tied to a carrier, and thus can't be unlocked, at least not in the same sense as GSM phones.

I found it weird that they were actually surprised to find a new species there. They might have the majority (of the bigger ones, at least) covered, but surely they must know that there are many they haven't discovered yet?

That was on purpose :D

Yup, I identify people from their gait all the time. It's how you recognize different friends from quite a long way away, when you can't yet see their face.

So... it's a secondary door? When I quickly read the headline it sounded like some high-tech forcefield. That would have been awesome.

I'm really loving this series of Torchwood. But I have one question:

Ugh, very thick edges above and below the screen, which makes it look more towards 4:3 than the normal widescreen. I kinda hope this isn't the real thing.

I usually like Facebook's new designs and features, at least I keep an open mind and take the time to learn them. But this new chatlist plain sucks. There's NOTHING good about it. It really is the first new thing I've hated on.

I know!! Thank you Gizmodo. I hate the new chat with all my heart. Some people I have never ever chatted with have a seemingly permanent place in the list, while people I often chat with, and am interested in whether they're online or not (like my girlfriend), only show up sometimes.

Thank you!!

I'd love an invite!

I live in Finland, so they are apparently available here too. And the very front of the box even says it's 1.2 ghz!
