While reading this article, I couldn’t help feel that the “protagonist” in the story seemed a bit off. He sounded (to me at least) like a flat earther piously explaining why all the facts against them are part of a conspiracy.

Having now done the research, I think I may have underestimated how off this guy was and is.

If it was so cut and dried why did the DOJ refuse to prosecute? Why did a judge with obvious conflict of interest have to make an end run around the DOJ? Third why was a judge not randomly assigned like is normal procedure.

Yeah, but Dore is a pos grifter…

If you haven’t, read up on this case. It’s all insane. The DOJ decided not to prosecute this matter because it was BS, and Judge Kaplan didn’t like that answer, so here we are.

her actually banging a duck in Howard the Duck

If you love Issa Rae, like I do, head on over to The Root to read an actual article about her wedding/relationship that isn’t weirdly snarky and uninformative.

That special FX (or SGI) shot meant to convince us that Chalamet is speed-punching an opponent..... It’s dumb. Stop writing dumb stuff, screenwriters.

The spice melange, is a MacGuffin” how?

Except he said the same thing more than a year ago and not long after the unveiling:

Things that are inside are more reliable that things outside? Number of cars I have broken a door handle on, 1. Number of cars where a window motor went out, 5. It really doesn’t matter where it is placed, a simple lever will be more reliable than a sensor.

This is basically where modern truck design is headed.

The difference here is American capitalism already completely ruined whatever kind of natural setting that used to exist here, so this would only turn it from a hellish dead wasteland to a hellish dead wasteland with a lithium mine in the middle of it

But Lebron James’ hairline ISN’T super weird?

Whatever his official paperwork may say, Statham is, has been and always will be 45.

Agreed. No OEM would ever do this. Which is why Indie mechanics are so great. They usually figure out the tricks to save you a bunch of money, vs. the parts swappers who work for the OEMs.

There’s no way any OEM would take on the liability to do a fix like that. Could you imagine the story you guys would write about it?? “TESLA SHAVES OFF CRITICAL COOLANT FITTING, USES HARDWARE FROM HOME DEPOT TO REPAIR BATTERY”. Oh the humanity!

Lemme guess: the waitresses are all cute rockabilly chicks contrasting the inherent, sweet, cute, innocent femininity of the 1950s with edgy tattoos, fishnet stockings, heavy makeup and facial piercings?

I’m the first person toe say fuck Tesla and fuck Elon, but in this particular case I am not so sure. This “repair” is super janky and is going to fail. They cut off the old fitting and replaced it with a brass unit that will likely warp... this isn’t a repair that is going to end well.

The $16,000 cost was to change
