Considering the giant “Freebird” session they ended his brief stint on The Tonight Show with, it does not surprise me that his final guest would be someone utterly prepared to rock out.

This Ellie Kemper thing confuses me. She participated in an event sponsored by a group that had changed it uglier practices before she was born and yet she has to apologize for what was most likely a family commitment in wealthy society? Give me a second...I heard on the radio that this equates to someone apologizing

Wow, you guys are really doubling down on trying to make this huge nothingburger a thing, aren’t you?

Blows my mind that people still want to pretend bad faith attacks like this should be humored.

This is the exact same trap Biden and Kamal fell into re: immigration.

I firmly believe that the only people who felt that an apology was even necessary were the least deserving of one.

They would have sold about 1000. The vast majority of consumer truck buyers buy a 4 door.

I’m betting they couldn’t just fit enough batteries.

Theres no logical reason to own anything but a Corolla, and yet here we are.

Except that show was fantastic and showtime should be ashamed for canceling it

That’s the one weird thing?

It’s easy to say that in an era when 4 door sedans are blowing the doors off of Lamborghinis, but when the SLR McLaren came out, if you wanted a crazy fast car you sacrificed a lot of comfort and refinement to get it.

Absolutely. I don’t know who this ‘Elizabeth Blackstack’ person is (because it’s confusing with all these new people), but the first few sentences of this piece are absurd. If her entire premise behind this car being a ‘hot mess’ is its high service costs then other people have explained it much better than I ever

I think the SLR was extremely good at the thing it was trying to do at the time, which was be a supercar GT, which at the time there simply weren’t that many of (basically just the 550). The problem was that that class of cars got really popular shortly thereafter, and so it was almost immediately succeeded by (kind

The aesthetics.

Really most of those prices seem...not that bad? The $2k oil service is stupid, but who knows it may take 24 quarts of beluga whale oil for all I know.  I don’t know what a tire fit container is, but the other prices are about in line with most German car maintenance, especially considering everything needs to be

If a supercar does not cost a fortune to maintain, it is not really a supercar then is it?

I get it but if she is professional and does this regularly which seems like she does, then where am I to argue it. I would understand if she advocated people to do what she did or was put on camera saying this to kids but I have watched some stuff in her past where I thought I remembered her saying she is different

Counterpoint: If someone goes above moving hives of bees based only on what they saw on a few social media videos, we should not be particularly concerned for their welfare.

This. These articles pop up literally once every 3 months because Tesla basically only makes three deliveries to Norway each year, and it’s not enough for demand. You can search and find the exact same article for basically every major EV, including the Etron, the Polestar, and the id3. I guess as long as we all click

It seems like Tesla’s dominance in the Norwegian market is more directly related to its ability to ship and deliver vehicles to customers there, as opposed to customer preferences.
