Oh I don’t doubt that her videos were making well past 20k per video, but it’s a big difference between what a video makes and what the talent is paid especially, it seems, at Bon Appetit.

You’re literally the only person I’ve ever, ever, EVER heard say they enjoyed Rapo. My girlfriend literally reacted like a bug had crawled on her face the first time we saw him on video. A common joke among some of my other BA loving friends was “oh wait Rapo’s in this? Ugh.”

This has to be the answer.  Those individuals were the asset, not Bon Appetit or Conde Nast.  They would kill it working together on their own thing.  The only problem is that a lot of them are under contract with BA that makes this a tougher proposition.
