It’s a “sell by” date, not a “use by” date. So being scared of milk that was “good” yesterday but now “bad” today because the label says it could be sold yesterday but not today is ridiculous.

I routinely (have for over 30 years) consume dairy products over a month past the date if they are still sealed and have always been refrigerated. If they are open, I usually go up to a week past.
