So tired of hearing these (no pun intended), I decided to upload a video of my car I recorded a while ago. More of my reason can be read on the video description, but I’d like to add that not many people (even owners) appreciate the new sound enough. The insulation of the sedan is so damn well that the car sounds so

My mistake. The joystick can be reconfigured from controlling pan/tilt to focus and exposure, not zoom on the original.

I would never discount that there are situations where absolute fidelity takes president over everything else. That said, they are non existent in anything but scientific study from my experience.

Can’t speak to the power drain, but the Osmo provides stop/start and zoom/focus via hardware controls that’s transmitted over blue tooth. Those would need to be constant. Doesn’t make sense to me why it’s so severe.

We were shooting vertical 10 years ago for advertisements and installations.

Instagram has 500 million daily active users.

It connects with the camera over blue tooth. I have no idea why it drains it so fast (although shooting video is a taxing thing to do, especially if you are using a dedicated app that provides a lot of tools) but it really does.

The original can with an adapter, but I don’t believe the controls aside from pan/tilt work.

If your destination display device is going to be landscape, nobody in their right mind would film a subject vertically for the increased resolution and then pillar-box it. Composition is so far more important and vital the comparison between it and resolution shouldn’t even be made.

I’m a commercial DP and half my gigs last year were portrait oriented for installations where the display screen (mostly TVs but some were for mobile) would be vertical oriented.

I see you, friend of DeSoto.

The entire road between I-495 and D.C. has been HOV for a long as I can remember (decades). People going solo on a trip will either continue on their original, normal routes or pay for the privilege of using the roadway while not carpooling. The real kicker here is the extended hours that the HOV restriction is in

Hell a stable shoulder would be an improvement. These are really well executed in every other respect. But after 15 seconds I’m over the intentional shake.

Only the penitent man will pass.

Sports and politics have been intertwined since the Greeks were slamming each other’s oiled bodies into the mud. Where have you been?

An iPhone can also record your voice but it’s a far cry away from have a recording studio in your pocket.

No. Not what the consumer is seeing at least.

Jannard went from making motocross grips in his garage to Oakley sunglasses which he sold for some $2+ billion years later.

Nice.

I’ve worked 12, 14, 16, 18 hour days on studio films on 6 days weeks. Sometimes that means we transfer to night shoots as well (a 4pm-6am) within the same week. Don’t remember driving home for most of them. It’s dangerous and it needs to stop. That menatal high of overtime and creativity is a son of a gun though.
