Definitely understand what you are saying and coming from. I guess these simulator games are just different. Every car and track combination is it’s own game. Finding the right lines, breaking and turn-in points, pit strategy, tire conservation, suspension setups, etc. It’s much like driving in real life.
Racing sims like this one have the challenge in trying to get the perfect lap, the lowest time you can post, or winning racing events. The point isn’t really to “unlock” something. Much like you wouldn’t unlock each club in a golfing game - you just play the course, over and over again.

Just a quick clarification, we decided on 24fps for film because it was the lowest frame rate that could give the illusion of motion when synced up to real time recorded sound. Any lower and you start getting the choppy, sped-up effects that were prevalent in the silent era.
