But do I, a European, get to play the superior US version of the games? You know, the ones that run at full speed instead of 5/6ths of the speed? 'Cause the lack of that is the reason why the Wii VC gathers dust in my case.

Please, Ninty, make it so I can change the wind on the fly without stopping, bringing up the rod thingy, and doing a whole dance routine. Fix it like you fixed the Water Temple in OoT3D.

I didn't really think the contest had a lot of promise, considering that the joke was mostly done in the original post. Game pictures... But googly eyes. Um, okay.

The lack of a comma made me read that sentence as someone turniping a planet. The reason why I mention this isn't to poke fun at grammar, but because now I want to start using "turnip" as a verb.

I never thought about it this way before - it's pretty clearly meant to be a (crazy-detailed) game board - but the Game of Thrones intro could also make for a kickin' RPG world map.

I could potentially see myself doing achievements for an easily visible gamerscore. But Trophies? Meh. For some reason, they just never grabbed me. There is the brief "Oh hey I did something cool" feeling, but nothing more.

It's hard to pick THE favorite track, but I'm going to grab the "Forgotten City" track from FF7, because I think it's overlooked. It's not the most complicated or catchy track out there, but it fits the mood of the game perfectly at that point, and it's one of the best uses of the (frankly not that great) sound

Someone's been playing old-school point-n-click adventure games. These read exactly - and wonderfully - like the stuff you hear/read when you click the "look" button in various games from Lucasarts et al.

It's a shame, because it LOOKS really cool... It's just that if they'd actually made it so there's incentive to tap certain characters before others rather than mash away at everyone, it would actually make for an interesting gameplay experience.

Oh yeah, I know some enjoyed it. It was definitely not for everyone, though. I read an interview with the creators a while after giving up on the game, and it turns out I was playing it the wrong way. Too bad that the game's way of punishing me for playing the wrong way was to make it an unfun, confusing slog rather

Screw all these instrument suggestions. The people demands an A Capella version of this game. Real men trigger machinegun fire through scatting!

When all I think about a new area in a game is "More of this? I don't wanna do this!", then it's time to quit.

I find that repetitive motions and actions are the ones that tend to stick in your brain afterwards. For instance, I shouldn't have been practicing SF4 Rufus' FADC to Ultra just before bed, because he was EX Messiah-FADCing in my head for a while before I could get to sleep.

Part of the problem is the sound design. That's the case with a lot of the animated DC movies, I find... They just don't sound, well, roomy and boomy enough. If the speech had sounded like it WAS in an outdoor space, amongst hundreds of people, it might not have sounded so flat.

Goit.

No more than the Austin Powers 2 opening!

Someone's grumpy/trying too hard to be an Internet tough-guy/unnecessarily nitpicky/not really contributing to any kind of discussion today!

Well, "early" is probably the wrong word, yes. But it's early enough that it's not hard for them to fit it into season 3. And again, lots of separate storylines, in a book where the author himself has written in one of the forewords that he jumps around in the timeline.

Some kids would be downright AFRAID to play that game. I mean, look at that cat... thing. Look at it wink. It's the wink of evil. The wink of death.
