There is one crossbow in particular that's actually really useful. It fires three bolts in one go. Takes a good bit of strength to use, though, so if you're a Dex build, it's best to stick with bows.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who at least know what Full Throttle is, but it's one of those games not everyone has played through.
