@retsukun: The online portion of the game is part of what makes it special. It's still a really good dungeon crawler without online, but there's no doubt that it's worth experiencing it with messages, player ghosts, and the chance of being invaded or recruiting help from other players.

If you wanna learn to play SF4 on a higher level, you need to know how to late tech, frametrap, spot where combos tend to be dropped... @Goldwings (Hacked): You know you CAN play the game offline as it is, right? Just sign off PSN before you start the game. It's the only way to manipulate the world tendency in your game however you want it, since otherwise it depends on the overall world tendency on the servers.
