Ah yes, let’s side with Jeff Bezos, Amazon and the corporate fascists, because some people dared to challenge the Powers That Be.

I mean, have you opened up a Gizmodo or AV Club article from 2012? None of those classic commenters are here anymore and a lowly article back then got 5x the number of total comments as in 2023.
This would only be true if Reddit were asking for a fee within the realm of possibility. The $12,000 for 50 million API calls is over 70x what similar platforms charge. It’s like posting a 2013 Honda Accord on Autotrader for over 1 million dollars.
I’ve seen this in several Kotaku articles now, but as far as I’m aware the Champion’s Leathers does NOT let you see enemy HP values anymore like it did in Breath of the Wild. I have it fully upgraded and it seems to have lost that feature in Tears of the Kingdom. I’m pretty sure this is also the case for the Tunic of…
Uhm, from what I understand, the Champions Leathers (both of them) have lost the number ability the one in BotW had. In this game they’re just armor with higher starting protection. At least I do not remember seeing the numbers re-appear while wearing either of them (even at lvl2 )
This wasn’t about letting 3rd party devs “do whatever they want.” Christian Selig, the dev who created Apollo, admitted that paying for API was something that he knew would eventually have to happen. It was Reddit’s outrageous pricing and accelerated implementation of the charges that wouldn’t allow him to adjust…
They’ll no doubt have a constant stream of trolls and double agents to deal with if they start replacing mods. Wouldn’t be surprised if spez just decides to make himself Supreme Overmod and take over every subreddit on his own. Then he’ll have the constant shitstream of troll posts to deal with.

The bit about the Champion’s leathers is 100% incorrect.
Good. Fuck em
Came here for this. Day is complete.
I started my day this morning by having one of the most important breakfast sandwiches ever made.
She’s over thinking it. A couple people discovered their actions have consequences; they should be thanking her.
this is reddit, not 4chan
Yet another site succumbing to the enshittification of the internet.
Like a good neighbor, State Farm is leaving you the hell alone.
And of course developers that slash their staff sizes and replace them with AI will pass the savings on to consumers!
“in-game character responding in real-time to words the player says out loud”
People are going to die because of this petty, self-entitled asshole.
Yeah. I’ve always felt a party switch should trigger an automatic freeze on policy participation until a new election can be held. There’s absolutely nothing stopping someone from planning this sort of the thing from the start. Even Manchin hasn’t officially switched sides!
