I keep hearing this “guinea pig” line. Even if the year-long trials weren’t enough to convince people (this has supposedly one of the most well-tested vaccines out there precisely because we were so shitty at containing the spread), over 100 million Americans have been vaccinated already. That’s 1/3 of the country.

None. This idiot just looked up “Unions - why hated” in their Idiot Book of Talking Points and copy-pasted that shit. They don’t really have an honest thought on the subject.

I literally have a friend who has to regularly glue in a tooth that fell out because getting dental work done for it is too expensive who thinks expanded medical care means we’ll suddenly be Venezuela.

That you have complaints about anti-competition and anti-market actors, yet think that describes unions instead of Amazon, proves how well propaganda works on those too busy to think.

Unions are not anti-market; they are the natural counter-balance to organized capital (aka corporations). Unions are an important, and necessary, part of a capitalist system, and they coexist in a mutually-beneficial way with corporations in numerous capitalist countries, like Germany, the UK, Scandinavia, etc.

It’s the South. Acting against their own interests is right up there with Jesus and football.

you know what else is anti-competition? Monopolies. Propaganda campaigns that intentionally mislead.

Lol, I am a proud member of IBEW. I pay my dues every month, I’m not even an electrician. Just a member of the union.

For that, I get actually a pretty decent wage ($5-7 on average above non-union shops)

Decent (not great, but better than most) medical/dental/vision (paid for by my employer)

A pension, paid into by my

I hope you’re at least a wealthy capitalist.  Otherwise this caping for the powerful is just so sad and pathetic.

For sure, I’m just saying that we should raise that tide so all workers see a boost, not just those with union backing.  That’s not to say that unions don’t server a purpose.

This was all Twitter was about this morning. “Who will blame Meghan for Phillips death first? Daily Mail? Piers Morgan?”

whats that, elon musk oversold something??? thats out of character.  for all this is doing it couldve just been made a pedestrian tunnel.

“Then they receive this mail-in ballot that they didn’t even probably know was coming,” added Scott. “You got an uninformed citizen who may not be prepared and ready to vote, automatically it’s forced on them and our country’s gonna pay for those choices.”

I wish Square Enix and Nintendo would figure this out. Dedicated team of rabid fans want to make something new with your IP? And it looks pretty decent? Offer to buy the project! Figure out who’s in charge, send a brand manager to make sure they get the look and feel right (using the same rules you’d use developing

For those who aren’t aware, this was originally a fan project. Sega caught wind of it and decided to let the devs continue to work and it while Sega would officially release it as a remake.

So much for “Fits the Description

Just let it die...

On the plus side, the rest of the family went on to enjoy a four-day overbearing-Dad-less vacation of a lifetime!

I was there.

The network’s users responded to the letter by calling Parler “snitches” and “a fraud.”... Another simply stated: “I don’t like snitches.”
