Can someone explain to me what the hell happened over the weekend here? I kept reading all this stuff about mass bannings and shit and I couldn't seem to get to the bottom of all the commotion.

I like 2D more that 3D myself. I think 2D is actually more capable of being artistic than 3D is too. It's a lot easier to wow someone when you're only in 1 perspective and thus have more control over what they player sees on the canvas.

Well, I got fired from my job about 2 weeks ago. And yesterday, I completed my orientation for my new job at the city newspaper in Cleveland! So I was out of work for two weeks. The downside is the job is only part time, but it still pays pretty well and there's a good possibilty that I'll be promoted to full time.…

@Twyst3d: Cinematics do not nessicarily mean cut scenes. Western games have an irritating tendency to constantly yank you out of the moment and show you a dramatic angle or whatever. That's what he means by cinematics.

So with all the Sakurai chatter over Kid Icarus lately, he mentioned what he thinks the difference between Japnese games and western games is.

Doesn't Nintendo pay for all of Miyamoto's living expenses, though? I seem to recall reading that they bought his house and pick up the tab for most everything he needs.

I think some people here are discounting what exactly controls bring to a game and, more specifically, it's gameplay.

I like Sonic Jump better. That has boss fights.
