As an arcade purist who practically grew up in those places, I hate this idea. It's not even remotely the same experience. I don't know what the point of it is.
This happens all the time. I remember once Capcom said that Dead Rising was originally being made for the PS2 before it became a 360 game. I can't imagine how different it would have been.

Sorry, Reggie. I was all ready to trade my DSi towards an XL until earlier this week wen the 3DS was announced. Now I have to ask myself, "why would I spend all that money on a another DS when I know something new is coming out that plays DS games less than a year from now?"

Make the screens closer on and put a D-pad beneath the analog stick and I'm thinking #5 is probably going to be the closest to the mark.

I don't remember my first time, either. My dad worked as an accountant for Chuck E Cheese back then, so I know I got taken to those places a lot when I was a baby. Apparently I cut my teeth on arcade games when I could barely stand on my own two feet!
