Last I saw, Bayonetta was considered a bit of a failure, at least by Wii game sales standards. The US NPD numbers were something like 66k and 100k for the PS3 and 360 respectively, if memory serves. The game didn't light up the sales charts in Europe, either, I don't think. It did OK in Japan, though.

@doubtful: Well yeah. It IS fraud. Preying on people and waiting for them to make a mistake to get their money, even if it's "legit" is kinda one of the very definitions of fraud...

I wish they'd have instead made this more like Resident Evil 4. That style of gameplay is perfect for Metroid, if you ask me.

I downloaded Mother 3 when the patch came out. That's about as close as I've ever come to pirating a game in the last several years. I've also played a couple of Famicom games on an emulator.
