The comparison doesn't really work. It's pretty clear that as far as the Conan/Leno thing goes, Conan was a good guy while Leno was working to undermine him, or happily letting NBC undermine him on his behalf.

Not a big deal to me. The only online multiplayer games I've at all gotten into this gen were Smash Bros and Street Fighter IV (both of which I suffered through for different reasons!)
I'm definitely buying the XL. I'm trading in my DSi, in fact.
I swear it's like Activision revels in their being seen as a villain or something.
Venting about where one lives is fine. I live in the crime ridden, jobless hellhole that is Cleveland, Ohio; God knows I have every reason to complain!

Gosh, I sure hope that whatever it is, it retains Tomb Raider's hallmark awful controls! I love the sensation of barely having control over my character when I play a game!
Well, you know what to do, Kotaku.
If you could modernize the 2D beat 'em up genre (Final Fight, Castle Crashers, Streets of Rage or even Viewtiful Joe), how would you go about doing it? What are some new elements you would add into the game to make it feel a bit more fresh and, since a lot of people complain about it, not as repetitive?

"but then, this is Nintendo we're talking about. And the internet. The two have never really seen eye-to-eye."
One the one hand, it's hard not to be excited for a Mikami game.
I rather like...
Kind of odd that they'd cut them now, considering MS and Sony's casual/family gaming attempts are just a few months away.
Taking The Daily Show and Colbert off of Hulu is weak, but not unexpected from a shit company like Viacom, unfortunately.
Bouncers, 'eh? I knew that Bobby Kotick was trouble the moment I laid my eyes on him.
