Daily Driver - 27 years old.

Some context is important here:

I just returned from a month of living in Puebla, where the big VW plant is that has been there since 1973 and supplies cars for the whole world except China.

This is what stuff costs there:

Bus fare: about 35 cents US - many many people take the bus.

An average 1 br/1ba apartment: about

Uh... “In each motor, the head gasket unit contains “largely similar components

...it’s almost as if we live in a nation with precious little respect or protection for regular working people!

“Security of buying from a dealer”

I don't know what's dumber, leading a dangerous police chase or finding something from Lansing to be of value.

GM should just be happy someone actually wants a Camaro.

DeJoy was appointed May 2020. NGDV bid began February 2015. Design of NGDV was 90% complete before DeJoy became Postmaster General.

Stop pushing the narrative that Dodge was cringey. It was fun and we should be happy that a car company exists that seems to want to make fun cars.

Which puts them firmly into the boat category, as most boating incidents tend to involve operator error and very often alcohol as well...

All good points, and in some ways I’m still a product of my upbringing.

They haven’t even heard of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

The whole story seems a bit too fantastic to be entirely true.  Particularly about her landing on power lines (which would be impossible from a 2nd story window I’d imagine).

3rd Gear:

A few more years of ubiquitous unimaginative 2.0Ts and soulless hybrids and the great masses of the people will rise up, saying “MAKE ENGINES BIG AGAIN” and we will give the people what they want.

It is a shame when a Viper gets wrecked, because we know a car like that will never be made again. Especially not like the 1st generation that was the car equivalent of a gun with a broken safety. It’s too raw and unrestrained for our modern world.

Honestly if your car is burning that much oil, forget running synthetic oil. Just buy the Supertech conventional oil from Walmart, it’s like $16 for a 5-quart jug.

Marques Brownlee said that if you took the original Roadster reservation they asked for ($250K) back then and invested it in Tesla stock instead, you’d have 4 million dollars today.

When you drop 100k plus on a car you don't have anymore, he probably can't afford another electric car that has that kind of range.

While the stars might align, Tesla body panels never will.
