2nd Gear. The best thing to happen to owners of electric vehicles is the new California (and others?) regulatory requirement that charging stations take a credit card. No app, no subscription, no dealer involvement, no little corporate hooks in my brainmeat.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe looks very compelling, though the electric only range (~20 miles) isn’t great. An Overland trim model, which would be what we would get, will sticker at almost $70k, and in this market, will command every penny of that.

“Demand for Jeeps in Western Europe has been on the rise, though we’ll see how that goes!”

Remember, the 4XE qualifies for the full $7,500 rebate, plus any state rebates on top of that (like $1,500 for California). This makes them a great lease deal. A 4XE Sahara is actually cheaper to lease than a normal Sahara.

We are still far below what was the norm for a lot of the past 15 years or so”

Sure it’s a 2010, but it’s more like a 1998 with a different grille.

I have no problem with property being taken if the property was definitively used in a crime.

Yeah, I was NOT a fan of the protests at all, and I think they were mostly far right nut jobs, but I do NOT think stealing their stuff is the way to go.
If they want to charge the protestors who broke laws, and then fine them, whatever.
But straight up taking it before any trials?
Nope, nopester nope.

I wish the Norwegian winter tests had published the actual temps during testing. If they were in there, I didn’t see them.

I think we should look at human error, not of the drivers, but those that are supposed to enforce the proper behaviors and issue the licenses in the first place, instead of just camping out with the radar on.

Does she have pointed suggestions or is this just general complaint/statistic pumping?

in order to address the spike in U.S. traffic deaths, we have to start looking for causes beyond human error

I have to disagree about the Wrangler - though you were close.

5th gear - it is nearly impossible to fire or lay someone off in france, even for cause.  reductions in staffing usually require at least 6 months notice and then at least 6 months severance after the completion of the notice period.

Unless its some software thing, the 300 uses the zf8 like most other mid-high priced cars. Doubt they’re magically snapping in sub 500hp chrysler 300's when they're used in 700hp Hellcats and 600hp bmws.

I’m in that boat now: I have a Ram with the 12” infotainment system but my lease is up and I’m probably going to drop to the smaller screen on my next one. It looked really cool at the time and isn’t completely awful, but I really prefer buttons and knobs for all the basic HVAC and comfort controls (plus it’s $1,400

I did something similar last fall - traded my fully-optioned Model S 85D for a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, and couldn’t be happier with my decision.

Aren’t Teslas supposed to be cheap to run because EVs don’t have that oily bit that starts dead dinosaurs on fire?

Hero. That's the word you're looking for. The man is a hero.
