I mean, the R/T Durango shares the AWD transfer case with the Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9.... where it only really has (if I remember right), AWD and 4HI to select.

Not going to lie, the comments section makes me happy. I have been a cyclist for 15 years and a car nut far longer, and I distinctly remember when the Jalopnik comments section was vehemently anti-cyclist to the point of some who advocated for what this asshole did.
When you attempt to do something multiple times, you meant to do it. i.e. he drove by, turned around, did it again, then hit some people. That should be intent.
IDK man, “Locally-made Artisanal Energy” sounds like a plot by the libs to infect me with socialism.

What should I buy?
I put in an order for the hybrid a couple of weeks ago. Expected delivery is January/February.
Speaking to point C. my wife and I recently had a 2020 4Runner while her 2020 Cherokee was in the body shop. Now I’ve never been a fan on domestic cars and their interiors, but the interior in the 4Runner is almost a joke. Came here to say this.
4th gear: I think the EV focus needs to shift. Right now manufacturers seem to think, “electrify everything right now and be all things to all people.” The focus should instead be on building reliable, excellent EV’s that people want to own and fill out half of the fleet. Just thinking about my situation, as well as…
Good tires, but certainly not great tires.
You want the views you have to crash it. Sorry I don’t make the rules. You can see how guy who tracks his car responsibly for many years and does reasonable upgrades to prevent brake failure doesn’t really break into the headlines.

I’m going to be Captain Obvious for a minute: that brake kit was there for a reason. The previous owner knew about the brake issue, but never fixed it. Maybe take a quick inventory of any other parts in boxes. They will probably give you a clue about other systems on the brink of failure.
