I don’t know why they keep trashing Toyota for the way they have approached electric vehicles. This is how they have always done things and have been successful doing it for decades.

1st: Toyota’s delay in entering the EV market should be expected.
That won't help Tracy.
Karma Police, arrest this man he ruins good jeeps...
People who destroy holy grail Jeeps are the human equivalent of those little Fake Plastic Trees you see in stores. They always Creep me out. It’s No Surprises their Videotape get clicks, but it’s always a Let Down to see them destroying something rare.
Automatic transmissions is the root of all evil.
At least I’ll be able to drive my Cyber Truck while I wait for my Roadster....
Isn’t that just the standard trim on the Chevy Silverado?
You lost me at light weight. They are many things. Light weight is not one of them.
Wait... did you call the U-Haul car trailer... LIGHT?
The OEMs embraced the idea because it allowed them to skirt lots of different taxes, regulations, and other crap that only counted for cars. Trucks got a pass since they were supposedly used “for business/farming”.
Rob, calling this Viper Powered is false advertising. It’s more like a Viper engine storage unit.
3rd Gear: Vaccine mandates aren’t enough.
If I wanted a Viper engine, I would just buy a Viper. If I wanted a SRT8 with more power, I would just buy and SRT8 and a supercharger. If I wanted a pain in the ass for $24k, I would just buy this. ND.
I mean, they handed it over to reporters who drove it 445 miles with range to spare. Even if 500 is on the optimistic side, it’s no more so than other electrics. If they can hit 445 and not kill it entirely, stupid range tricks will bump it over 500 easily. Seems like they did indeed whip out the real thing.
what this article has taught me is that i want an EV with a big fucking dial on the dashboard that i can turn counterclockwise to increase the range and clockwise to increase the “performance”. that way everyone, but especially me, can find a spot that’s like, fast enough, but maximizes range.
Not gonna lie, the specs are impressive. Even more impressive would be a 200hp, 200 mile range EV that starts at 20k, that doesn't catch on fire parked in the driveway.
Elio is also trying to sell a two-seater, 3-wheeled, gas-powered vehicle. That’s, like, all the things that will make a vehicle a pariah. Lucid at least is trying to get in on the new hotness (electric super-sedans that will smush your organs).
Your taxes built the roads, and now you’ll be taxed again to use the roads to go to your job to pay for these shitty roads.
