A reliable reasonably priced used car that you hold on to for a while will cost less per mile than any ride share service could hope to.

Custom valved, double adjustable remote reservoir shocks with springs for my track car wins. Second place by about half is an aftermarket larger turbo for my fun daily.
I just had to nitpick on this part of the article.
They clearly missed the full traction control calibration stage or forgot to program for a wheel in the air situation. It didn’t even look like the truck tried to grab the brake of the spinning wheel to force power to the wheel that is on the ground. My 90's sedan has rudimentary traction control that is smart enough…
A lot of that car is going to have new paint. At the minimum you are repainting the fenders, hood, front bumper, and front doors to make the blend. Billable man hours will for sure be one of the most expensive parts of the repair. The green paint and clear itself won’t really be that much money, just the effort to…
It could be NP or ND depending on your wants. If you just want to do fast sports car stuff, a stock or lightly modified Viper is still fast and would be much cheaper, so ND in that case. On the other hand if 500hp bores you and you have been itching for a comma in your horsepower number, by the time you buy just about…
It is a little hard to understand from this article but are the striking workers the equivalent of say mechanics, body shop, and general repair workers at a car dealer in the US? Since the article says Tesla doesn’t have any manufacturing in Sweden I am just trying to understand what work contract these individuals…
The line one always gets me, like what is the extra 10 feet getting you, or worse they start braking in plenty of time to have a nice gentle stop behind the line and still choose to roll over it.
Worse yet, you and all the people in front you have now sat through more than one turn light cycle and everyone should have realized how short it is and yet they still drive slow as molasses. It kills me inside.
Union dues last I checked are 2.5 hours of pay a month. So if you are a top of pay line worker at $32hour it is $80 a month. That said the union takes a portion of all of your bonuses because “they negotiated them for you”
Got to make those V8 noises somehow. Pretty sure between my short commute and Honda fuel economy my yearly gas budget is smaller than $600. Stopping to get gas that often must be annoying for Charger man.
Ford stopping construction on the battery plant is basic business. Currently they are not able to ship a product that provides revenue, they also may not be able to do so on more of their products depending how talks continue. If your business is taking in less revenue, you are going to stop spending on capital…
“We need to stop pretending that the UAW workers are some beaten down population that doesn’t get anything. They aren’t, and when you look at the pay/benefits/bonuses of their “unskilled” (hate that term) workers it’s WAY WAY better than any other industry.”
Yeah A/T’s are not great in the mud, but depending on how thick or soup like it was out there the TRX has enough power on tap to generate a lot of wheel speed to clear the treads from the centrifugal force alone.
Yes, but just tilt your head a little and they are “basically” the same. Sleek and low, 2 door, 2 passenger, 2 wheel drive, manual transmission, liftback, built for a single purpose. It just one company chose the purpose to be efficiency and the other chose speed. ;)
I have 2 best decisions. Most recent was a 2000 Honda Insight 5-speed for $500 during the pandemic. Needed brake lines, tires, and a good cleaning. Hybrid battery was supposedly dead. Replaced the brakes and tires cheap and had a running driving car that got 50 mpg for about $1500 total investment. Dug into the…
The stripes appear to just be vinyl, so likely just an original black car that the owner wanted to personalize somehow. I would just peel them off and stick to classic black or if I wanted stripes again go with white or silver. I agree give me silver or polished wheels instead of black.
While the prowler could have been more, it still had pretty good substance. Aluminum double wishbone suspension at all 4 corners, aluminum space frame with bonded lightweight panels, a 2850lb curb weight, and nearly 50/50 weight balance.
I went NP, I would probably peel the stripes or go with a different color for them. Only 1 clarification I can see for the article Rob, those wheels are not aftermarket. They are OEM 18" Viper wheels powder coated black, just from a gen 2 (1997-2002) instead of the 1st gen. There are a lot better selection of 18"…
I love this quote from the resident “There are decibel ratings and ordinances that we have here that limit the amount of noise you can make and how far away that noise can be, and I think it’s somewhere between 60 to 80 decibels.”
