If you think a heavy truck on All Terrain tires is going to have a 500 mile range on a 120Kwh battery, I have some land to sell you. A Model S 100d has a 400 mile range and is much more aerodynamic and has much lower rolling coefficient than any truck. Tesla is going to need just as big of a battery as hummer to get

What’s crazy is from the cockpit video I saw with telemetry it was still accelerating pretty well at the 331mph. Webb stated in an interview that it could have easily gone faster but the cross winds were higher than expected and the car was being pushed around too much on the narrow road.

Grand Cherokee is the easiest example of the SRT cost add. Base v6 GC is 34k and a loaded SRT Trackhawk is ~104K, so almost a tripling of price.

You think seeing a sheet of ice and snow fly off a car in the winter is bad, I can only imagine being behind this model Y when a giant pane of glass went flying and presumably exploding everywhere. Definite code brown for the cars behind!

Yep, definitely the pro tip. Whenever I am ordering parts from Rock Auto I always think to myself, “Do I need wiper blades for any of my cars?” because you can get beam blades for literally 1/4 the price of my local parts store and you are already paying shipping on your other parts, so just tack them on.

It just bums me out that people would have been out cruising just because they love cars and it is the weekend the Woodward Dream Cruise would normally have taken place. Yes there would have probably been a few flags flown on peoples cars no matter what, but now there will be more because they feel empowered by their

Why must we turn every event into a political statement. I was planning to drive a couple laps of woodward in the morning of that day just to see what was out cruising. Now I will likely be lumped in with whatever shit group is organizing this “MAGA Cruise” when I just wanted to enjoy cars. This is why we can’t have

A shop manual is a life saver.  Youtube and forums are great, but when you get into the more technical things a good manual is better.  Good manuals also usually have a full wiring diagram and test procedures to help with electrical gremlins.

Ah the memories. I had an 80's Jeep when I was in high school with the fuel pump on a toggle switch. Between the fuel pump switch, manual transmission, and carburetor that Jeep would be completely undrivable by modern day thieves.

I consider myself someone who is comfortable doing anything. I have painted cars (with good results), rebuilt suspensions, I just rebuilt a steering rack, I am one of those weirdo’s who actually likes doing electrical, I am no stranger to a welder and making custom parts, and I have even done light interior work

Damn, that little guy took up residence real quick and in a big way! I had a squirrel stash away three 5 gallon buckets worth of walnuts once. It was a sight to behold when I popped the hood.

Neutral: I did buy a car on the very last day of May. I got a first gen Honda Insight manual for $500. Always thought it would be fun to own at least once, and at $500 I was willing to gamble. I have spent the last week going through it and cleaning. I will probably be in it for around $1000 total once I fix all of

You are correct. Not sure where DT got his info thinking this was the first time a V10 manual existed in a Ram. My buddy bought a 98 or 99 Ram 2500 V10 with the NV4500 manual for cheap just to steal the transmission out of it.

Just like most of the current Toyota lineup, it is not easy on the eyes. Also kind of a fail in my book since it is being reported that the second row chairs are not designed to be removed because of the addition of an integrated side airbag. Kind of makes it no better than the SUV’s this site hates for moving large

I have occasionally searched wk1 SRT-8s thinking it would be a fun kick around SUV, but for some reason they just seem to hold their value. I need them to suffer full Chrysler product depreciation. If they were closer to 10-12k I would probably have one by now. Going to vote CP for me since you can find them without

I know at my job, if I discovered a coworker did sex work on the side and then started commenting at work and stirring things up, it wouldn’t even have to be the person in question to complain to management or HR to land me in hot water. I have seen people get time off without pay and just plain walked out of the

For me it was a dark green 1969 Charger owned by Frank down the street. It had a heavily built motor and ran high 9's-low 10's in the quarter. This was in the early 90s so that was crazy fast compared to everything else on the road considering super cars were running 13s and new corvettes were running 14s. He still

I hope Mahk jumps on this for a video.

That has been the 1 positive out of this situation. I might be on reduced pay right now, but I have plenty of extra time to get my car ready for the summer season without doing a last minute thrash.  Actually being able to take my time is such a nice and strange feeling.
