For the modern day I am going to choose the luxury SUV from any German auto manufacturer. Nothing screams "I think I am important and have a little bit of money, but can't actually afford this car"…

Hmm the 911 sounds like a good choice, but I am going to have to pick the Audi A6/S6/RS6. C4 UrS6 for the old school 5 cylinder sound. Newer C5 S6 with a V8 for the angry growl. Finally a C6 RS6 avant with the twin turbo v10 for hauling stuff really quickly.
