Dan Povenmire's was actually really creative too.

Somewhere is a Twitter timeline from "Jeff in Colorado" that consists of 6,000 daily un-replied to tweets at ESPN people.

Pretty sure Daily Dot had some post lamenting the sexism of a Marvel movie with a plot line of a female character as a pawn in a war between two men, which would've absolutely been sexist...if it was real & not, ya know, complete bull coming from a person that later acknowledged they didn't see the movie but wasn't

Maybe they're afraid letting it slide would set a precedent for some of the people Le Batard is sort of mocking who very much are popular ESPN employees? As hard as it is to believe (because honestly how the hell could their journalistic integrity sink any lower?), ESPN might be concerned with their impartiality being

Yeah I assumed it was a typo. I mean, if two different men each commit unrelated murders generally the one who doesn't go to prison would be considered more competent. I'd also add that when shit started to swirl around Hernandez the reaction from people familiar with him seemed to be a lot of "I'm not surprised"

While it's always existed in my lifetime, I am familiar enough with how the alternatives work to still appreciate its presence in my everyday life.

I knew this was gonna happen the second I saw Will's earlier tweet. He just seems like the kind of guy who would believe the false-hope B.S. that corporate overlords spew out to calm employees & try to prevent anyone from "going out in a blaze of glory". I remember having lunch on a Friday with a friend & his dad two

I was actually unaware they were being sold pre-flashed as it was. Original Gen Apple TV's still have decent value anyway so I guess it isn't too shocking.

Yeah. This guy's genius business idea was essentially trying to sell people something in the upwards of $750 that they can do on their own quickly for $40 or free with a lot of work.

And this will change nothing. Bet that studio execs have spent the bulk of the weekend coming up for excuses why Guardians was the exception to the rule.

Ironically by the time some Ghotsbusters movie comes out in 2020 they'll have spent enough time & money on it that would've equated to 20 different original films/franchises.

Yeah I'm kinda inclined to agree here. This seems to be a little regret on Nickelodeon's part over not making a BIGGER theatrical movie a decade ago when Spongebob was at its peak popularity. It's probably still one of their top shows, but 10-12 years ago it was THE animated franchise for kids.

Before they were activated they were already more intelligent than the average crowd at a game in the US.

Well the Marvel half of the company decided Thor is now a title that anyone can hold as opposed to the birth-name & life of a character so who the fuck knows what other kind of horseshit their corporate thinkers have come up with.

Yes. The pilot (and whatever flashbacks season 1 did to the yacht stuff) actress for Sara was just some soap actress who they cast because she looked like Katie Cassidy & they only needed her for 1 day. Then Katie was pretty underwhelming as Laurel & obviously plans changed. I don't doubt the fan backlash put Caity

He's right about how everything is SO controlled & over-produced that it's harder for young talent to get over. However his comments about the PG era are 100% wrong. That stretch that fans love to recall so fondly is largely responsible for today where professional wrestling has a hard time with television because

"Not this 15-year-old," he said.

Yeah, that's the most common theory. That they just didn't feel comfortable with Katie Cassidy going forward as Black Canary because she's kinda bleh carrying a scene. Caity Lotz nailed it well enough that most people didn't notice how it didn't really match up with anything they established in the 1st season.

There's just no way. You don't cast some soap actress to play a character to show up once in the pilot & just in flashbacks throughout a season with the intention of re-casting the role a year later with a name actress to become arguably the 2nd biggest character on the show.
