I have a T-shirt with the Salvage-1 logo on it I bought about 15-years ago, wear it at least once every two weeks and have literally never had a single human recognize it or make any comment. I was beginning to wonder if this show actually aired.

There used to be a street parked 512BB on Beverly Glen in Bel Air, CA. If you don’t know that street it’s a very narrow road that twists and turns up the hills towards Mulholland Drive. It was literally within inches of traffic and I saw it there for years, slightly moved, so I know it was being driven.
You’re the only one who gets it.
I think those are such a neat intermediate model between their classic design language and where they went later on, but yes, you should absolutely keep the ES no matter what.
I picked up an LX 470 last summer and just pushed her past the 250,000 mile mark (clearly the PO did most of the heavy lifting), so I’m about 1/4 the way there and plan on keeping this rig until she’s legislated off the roadways.
Sure the tires seem cheap in the ad, but once they “mount and balance” you’re over $1,000 easy. If you want the tires filled with air, another $100 each, that’s $1,400.
I can see this also but we really never know what a waiter’s shift is, we could just as easily walk in during the last 15-minutes just out of coincidence. I think this is all worked out among the staff already.
My Lexus LX 470 with “only” 250,000 miles celebrates with you on this day.
Yes, seems you're right! Thank you!
This is what I keep missing, what’s the problem with “campers” if they are ordering? We tend to spend at least 2-hrs at a restaurant because I love spacing the meal out and enjoying conversation, and at high end places have spent 3-4hrs per meal, but we were constantly ordering, apps, entree, desserts, coffees,…
Do you have a Toyota dealer that does a Happy Hour oil change special too? Here its like $29.
It hurts, it definitely hurts. Also, even tho the same engine as the LC and Tundra this “requires” premium whereas the others only “recommend” it. Thanks Lexus. lol
Absolutely agree, but I also wanted a body on frame vehicle so this is as good as it gets in that regard to safety. Have you got to drive one with it set in sport and hit the twisties, it might surprise you. No slot car but better than most others.
Awesome, that’s a great keeper for sure. Congrats on owning such a beauty.
I am one of those people who buy these things because there’s one sitting in my driveway that has a stack of invoices from Toyota and Lexus dealers. It has every service done on time and by a qualified mechanic. So yes, we agree that people who buy LXs spend money to maintain them, but I also replaced my brake…
My Escalade, you should know, uses two-inch thick ballistic windows. I watched with a satisfied smile as 9mm and .44 Magnum rounds dropped uselessly to the ground after slamming uselessly into the “polycarbonate and leaded glass.”
I can agree in some sense because my driving is discretionary but if I had to drive to a workplace every day I would probably choose something with better mpg.
Sorry I missed this originally but I once made my own license plates. I used original tags but decided I wanted them to be something unique so I put a large NASA sticker over one side which actually covered the prefix letters. Drove that car for 10-years with those plates on it, all over Southern California, and even…
You absolutely do not want to price shop these vehicles. You buy the best one you can find, otherwise you will be spending huge amounts on the thing. Two different LX’s of the same year with the same miles will be thousands of dollars apart in value if one has all the maintenance records that show every job is…
I assume most buyers do what I did and simply factored the fuel cost in to their purchase decision. It was all a formula for me and nobody buying one of these is unaware of their fuel “economy.”
